We are still collecting donations through next Friday, May 8th! Our current plan is to work with the Glynn County EMA team to determine the best location for dropping off our items shortly after our drive concludes. The biggest needs right now include plastic totes, clothes, hygiene and household essentials.

All donations can be dropped off at SMMS or CCHS. Help us fill our trailer up!!

Huge congratulations to Briana Dougherty for placing 1st out of more than 300 Agriscience Fair projects and applications across Georgia! πŸŽ‰

Her outstanding project, β€œFrozen vs. Fresh,” showcased the hard work, research, and dedication she put into comparing the differences between frozen and fresh broccoli. Briana represented our chapter with excellence, and we could not be more proud of this incredible accomplishment!

Camden County FFA had the incredible opportunity to attend the Georgia FFA State Convention, where students experienced leadership, learning, and recognition at the highest level. Throughout the convention, members were able to connect with state officers, explore the career and trade expo, and hear from influential speakers who challenged students to grow as leaders and make a difference in their communities.

One of the highlights of the convention was watching our members be recognized for their hard work and dedication. Students receiving the State FFA Degree, the highest degree the state can bestow upon its members, included Ryen Hanson, Lillianna Dangerfield, Joslyn Peterson, Grant Garman, Van Blount, Addison Slice, Carter Stone, Zachary Hall, Briana Dougherty, Harleigh Anderson, and Ayden Neuman. This prestigious honor recognizes members for their commitment to agricultural education, leadership, and service.

Camden County FFA also celebrated several outstanding competitive achievements:

🌟 Connor Roberts was named 2nd in the state in Forestry Management and Products Proficiency. This recognition reflects more than two years of dedication to his Supervised Agricultural Experience, where he advanced from the region level to compete among the best in Georgia.

🌟 Briana Dougherty earned 1st place in Division 5 for her Agriscience Fair project in Food Processing titled Frozen Versus Fresh.

🌟 Grant Garman placed 2nd individual in Veterinary Science competing against students from across the entire state.

To make the week even more memorable, Camden County FFA was awarded a Gold Emblem for National Chapter Award, placing our chapter among the top 10% of FFA chapters in Georgia. This honor now advances Camden County to the national level, where the chapter will be evaluated for a three-star national ranking.

Camden County FFA continues to prove that hard work, leadership, and passion for agriculture can open doors to incredible opportunities. We are proud of every student who represented our chapter with excellence and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next. πŸ’™πŸ’›
