Daylight Saving Time ends overnight. When you change your ⏰⏲️🕰️⌚️clock, it is a good time to check your smoke alarm. Replace any smoke alarm that does not respond after a new 🔋 battery has been installed. Replace all smoke alarms when they are 10 years old.

It’s National CPR & AED Awareness Week! Did you know that automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are the only devices that can restore heart rhythms when someone goes into cardiac arrest? These portable devices are used by fire responders, schools and the public to provide immediate lifesaving support.

10 more CPS Technicians added to Safe Kids Kingsland's roaster. Congratulation's to all the new technicians! Thank you to Kingsland Police Department for allowing us to utilize their training room for the classroom portion and thank you to Camden County Fire Rescue for allowing us to us the bay at their Headquarters for the car seat check event with the potential for inclement weather. Also, a big thank you to instructors that came down to teach the class.

REMINDER: Do you have any unwanted or expired prescription drugs laying around the house or in your cabinets? Don't know what to do with them? Join Safe Kids Kingsland, Kingsland Police Department and Walgreens for on April 22nd from 10 am - 1 pm to properly discard your unwanted or expired prescription drugs. Walgreens will also be handing out gift cards and other goodies for anyone that stops in to drop of prescriptions. Some important information before dropping your prescriptions: leave the labels on the bottles, mark out any personnel information with a sharpie and no syringes or needles will be expected at this time.

Day 5 of National Poison Prevention Week: Grandparents. You love your grandchildren and would do anything for them, but did you know these startling facts?

Approximately 50,000 young children or roughly four school busloads of children per day are brought to the emergency room each year because they get into medicines that were left within reach.

Nearly 1 out of every 4 grandparents say they store prescription medicines in easy access places and 18% keep over the counter medicines in easily accessible spots.

children are curious; to keep them safe, parents and caregivers must
practice safe medicine storage. Always put every medicine and
vitamin away every time you use it, including those you use every day.
