Take some time this weekend to see some wonderful local theater!
Niagara High School Theatre Presents “Wonderland”
Curiouser and curiouser. Join Alice as she tumbles into a world where tea never ends, riddles have no answers, and nothing is quite what it seems. In Niagara High School Theatre’s original production of “Wonderland,” audiences will experience a whirlwind of unforgettable characters.
This is a student-created adaptation inspired by Alice in Wonderland, a public domain work. It is not a purchased script. Students played a central role in developing scenes, costuming, music, and staging. Although theatre is not an extracurricular activity at Niagara High School, more than 45 students volunteered their time beyond sports and work commitments. With a high school population of approximately 116 students, this level of involvement truly reflects the spirit of our school.
Performances will be held on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Niagara High School Theatre. Admission is $5 per person, and tickets will be available at the door.
Following each performance, a Meet the Cast and Crew reception will be held. Guests are invited to enjoy cake, coffee, and punch while visiting with our talented students.
The evening will also feature student showcases. The Niagara High School Art Department will display a collection of student artwork in the theatre lobby, and the Industrial Arts Department will exhibit woodworking and metalworking projects created by NHS students.
Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with a delightfully imaginative experience for all ages. We hope you can join us.
