Notice: C-47 Skytrain Military Transport "Hairless Joe"

Unfortunately, the C-47 Skytrain military transport scheduled to attend Ford Airport Days will no longer be able to make the trip due to a significant mechanical issue that cannot be repaired in time for this weekend’s events.
​
We know many of you were looking forward to seeing and flying aboard this historic aircraft, and we share in that disappointment. The safety of the aircraft, crew and passengers must always come first.
​
Anyone who has already purchased a C-47 ride ticket will still be accommodated with a flight aboard another aircraft. We are currently working through those details and will share information on the replacement aircraft when you arrive.
​
Ford Airport Days will continue as planned, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we make this adjustment.

Thank you for supporting Ford Airport Days, EAA Chapter 439 and the crews who work so hard to bring these aircraft to our community.

Happening at Ford Airport - Iron Mountain/Kingsford from EAA Chapter 439's hangar located at 4800 Woodward Avenue in Kingsford on Saturday, September 19th.

Free for youth 8-17 Years old. Time slots are offered 9AM - 1PM. Pre-registration is required. Adult submitting registration and waiver must be present at time of flight.
