Island House Key West Gay Hotel & Resort , Key West’s iconic resort for gay men, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, a milestone being recognized and celebrated around the world. Here is to another 50.

This Memorial Day, the Key West Business Guild honors the brave women and men who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We remember those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we cherish, including the freedom to live openly, authentically, and proudly as ourselves. Their courage reminds us that liberty is never guaranteed; it is protected through sacrifice, unity, and service to one another.

As we gather with friends, family, and community this holiday, may we pause to reflect with gratitude on those who are no longer with us, and recommit ourselves to building a world worthy of their sacrifice, one rooted in dignity and compassion for all.
