Last weekend with Pascal's Way and Florida Bay Forever we were able to remove 284 pounds of debris from Founders Park in Islamorada. 33 volunteers got to work and focused on removing the smaller pieces of trash that are often overlooked but can have major environmental impacts.
A unique aspect of this cleanup was Pascal’s Way’s process of separating all collected debris into categories before weighing it, helping provide a better understanding of the types of waste commonly found in the environment.

We are so excited for World Mangrove Day!! Join us and Key West Aquarium on July 26th for a debris cleanup and propagule collection event. Last year, a significant percentage of the propagules used in Coastlove’s mangrove restoration projects were collected during this very event, helping support future mangrove outplanting efforts throughout the Keys. By joining us, you’ll play a direct role in restoring our coastlines, improving water quality, creating wildlife habitat, and helping our islands stay resilient.

Join Coastlove, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Tito's Handmade Vodka for an Ocean Forest Restoration mangrove outplanting that is Phase 1 of this restoration. July 11th beginning at 9:30am, we will cleanup and restore the area surrounding Ocean Forest Park which was dredged years ago for a development project and never completed. Over time, this site has also become a hotspot for marine debris. Through years of community cleanups, volunteers have removed thousands of pounds of trash from this ecosystem. Now, restoration is finally moving forward! Scan the Qr code or go to https://www.coastlove.org/events/ocean-forest-restoration-phase-1

Join Coastlove and Conch Republic Marine Army for a cleanup removing debris from the Florida Keys and one of the most important coastal ecosystems! June 7th from 10am-3pm we will be cleaning debris departing from the Perry Marina on Stock Island (parking at the Perry Hotel). Unfortunately, debris often washes into these fragile areas, threatening wildlife and the environment we all love. By volunteering your time on the boat, you’ll make a direct impact in protecting our ocean and keeping the Keys beautiful.

June 6th from 9am-11am we are back at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park for an invasive species removal! With the help of Miami Waterkeeper and City of Miami Government and sponsor Seatrees we are able to come together for to remove vegetation that will help protect the dunes and community! 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

This historic park holds an important place in Miami’s history, as it was the only beach designated for African Americans during segregation. It hosted family reunions, dances, and community gatherings. Today, it remains a vital green space, offering recreation while helping to combat urban heat and the effects of climate change.
