Last night we received this message and thought it would be appropriate to share about our former Executive Director Julie Hanson.

“The day Julie got ambulanced up to Kendall and we all went to Bourbon Street Pub, a red winged blackbird landed on the table in front of us chirping up a storm. I had never seen one on Duval before that moment. So I associate seeing them as a Julie visit. Today, during the finale for Sister Season, a red winged blackbird hung out in front of Aqua before, during and after the event. So, Julie was there in my heart and mind!" 🫶

What a TRULY AMAZING NIGHT! 🙌

First, we would like to congratulate Dustin Bass for winning 2026’s Sister Season Aqua Idol! This year our ten contestants raised a record breaking $35,398!! 🏆

Thank you so much to all of our amazing singers! You all killed it! And without a community like Key West, this would not have been possible! We are so beyond thankful! 🫶

What a truly great way to kick off Sister Season’s Aqua Idol! Thank you to everyone who showed up last night, not only to put money in buckets, but to support, clap, and cheer for our amazingly talented bunch. 🙌

We’ve only got 5 weeks left, so make sure you don’t miss us next Tuesday, May 5th at 6pm where our singers will be doing 2 songs and the theme is Movies/TV Shows! 🎞️
