Earlier this week members of our team at TROT had the opportunity to visit Pegasus Project Therapeutic Riding Center in Yakima.

As fellow therapeutic riding centers, it was wonderful to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another. We spent time discussing growth, challenges, successes, and the many ways we can continue strengthening equine-assisted services for the individuals and families we serve.

Thank you to the team at Pegasus Project for welcoming us and sharing your knowledge. We look forward to staying connected and continuing to learn alongside one another!

We are incredibly grateful to announce that TROT has received a $5,000 donation from Legends Casino Hotel Yakima Cares program in support of our Horses Helping Heroes program!

This generous investment will help us continue providing equine-assisted services to veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, firefighters, and law enforcement officers. Through meaningful interactions with horses, participants gain confidence, connection, emotional support, and tools for personal growth.

Thank you to Legends Casino Hotel and the Yakima Cares program for believing in our mission and helping us make a difference in the lives of local heroes. Your support will have a lasting impact!๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’›THANK YOU to The Wake Up Call for their generous donation of 200 free drink cards to TROT!

These cards will be used throughout the year to celebrate volunteer birthdays and recognize the incredible people who give their time, talents, and hearts to our mission. Our volunteers are the backbone of TROT, and thoughtful gifts like these help us show just how much they are appreciated.

Thank you, Wake Up Call, for helping us celebrate the volunteers who make a difference in the lives of our riders, horses, and community every day! ๐Ÿด

๐Ÿ’™ The Power of Adaptive Riding ๐Ÿ’™

When Amber first came to TROT, her family was looking for an activity that could help build her confidence, communication, and connection with others in a supportive environment.

Just seven weeks later, they have seen incredible change within Amber.

"The growth we've seen in Amber has been amazing. Her confidence has grown so much, and she walks into TROT excited and comfortable every time."

Through adaptive riding, Amber has become more social, expressive, and open to trying new things. Her family says being around the horses brings her peace and happiness, while the encouragement of our instructors and volunteers has helped her discover confidence in herself.

One of their favorite moments was hearing Amber excitedly yell, "Faster!" with the biggest smile on her face as she began trotting for the first time.

Stories like Amber's remind us that adaptive riding is about so much more than riding horses! Thank you to everyone who makes these moments possible!
