πŸ’™ Happy 3-Year Work Anniversary, Lauryn! πŸ’™

Today, we are celebrating Lauryn Meacham and the incredible impact she has made during her three years with Elijah Family Homes.

Lauryn has been so much more than a PCAP Case Manager. She has been a source of encouragement, support, knowledge, and compassion for the families she serves and the coworkers she works alongside every day. Her kindness, intelligence, and selfless dedication have helped countless mothers and children navigate challenges, find hope, and build brighter futures.

Anyone who knows Lauryn knows that she genuinely cares about people. Whether she's checking in on a client, helping a coworker through a difficult day, sharing her love of plants, or simply asking thoughtful questions because she truly wants to know how you're doing, she has a way of making people feel seen, valued, and supported.

As Lauryn prepares for an exciting new chapter and begins pursuing her master's degree, we are filled with both pride and gratitude. While we will miss her tremendously, we know she will continue changing lives wherever her journey takes her.

Lauryn, thank you for the countless hours you've poured into serving families, the relationships you've built, the lives you've impacted, and the heart you've brought to our organization. Your work has left a lasting mark on Elijah Family Homes and the community we serve.

Please join us in congratulating Lauryn on her 3-year work anniversary and wishing her the very best as she begins this next adventure! πŸŽ‰βœ¨

🌟Weekly Success Story 🌟

Sometimes the most powerful way to understand the impact of recovery is to hear it directly from someone who has lived it.

At our Sunrise Village VIP Event last month, a client who has participated in both our Parent-Child Assistance Program (PCAP) and Transition to Success (TTS) programs courageously shared her journey of recovery with more than 75 community members.

As she spoke about the challenges of early recovery, the obstacles she faced, and the determination it took to keep moving forward, there were very few dry eyes in the room. Her story was a powerful reminder that recovery is not a straight path, but one built on resilience, courage, and hope.

For many guests, it was also their first opportunity to truly understand the work Elijah Family Homes does every day. Through stable housing, long-term case management, and unwavering support, families are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives and create brighter futures for themselves and their children.

We are incredibly grateful to our client for sharing her story so openly. Her willingness to be vulnerable helped others see that recovery is possible, families can heal, and lives can be transformed. πŸ’™

Sunrise Village Final May Update πŸ‘πŸŒ…

What a difference a month makes.

At the beginning of May, Sunrise Village was a construction site filled with freshly poured foundations and the first signs of vertical construction. Today, the homes have walls, roofs, plumbing, and electrical systems in place. In fact, electricians are now wrapping up many of their final tasks inside the homes.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have now raised over $930,000 toward our $1.5 million goal. While construction continues to move forward at an exciting pace, we still need partners, sponsors, and donors to help us cross the finish line and ensure Sunrise Village is ready to serve families for years to come.

This project has always been about more than building houses. It's about creating a place where hope can take root, recovery can flourish, and families can build a brighter future together.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We can't wait to show you what's next. πŸ’™

🌟Weekly Success Story 🌟

The journey through recovery is seldom linear, and for one Parent-Child Assistance Program (PCAP) client, this statement exemplifies the struggles she faced throughout her time in our program.

This mother discovered she was pregnant while using illicit substances and was determined to get sober. When she enrolled in PCAP, she was engaged in treatment and support groups and was working on improving her relationships with friends and family.

After she tragically lost her pregnancy, this client began to withdraw and fell back into addiction. For months, PCAP called, texted, and knocked on her door to try to re-engage her with little to no success. This all changed when PCAP left an inexpensive yet meaningful gift on her doorstep. She immediately reached out to her Case Manager to let her know how much the gesture meant to her and how their continued attempts to get in touch were appreciated. She was honest with her Case Manager; she told her that she had relapsed but got sober again because she found out she was pregnant. It was at this point that this client reengaged with her services, and PCAP became an integral part of her sobriety.

This mother’s determination and courage to stay sober meant that her child was born without a trace of any illicit substance, and she could work on multiple goals with her case manager, including sustaining her recovery for the long term.

Even when PCAP clients face significant issues related to addiction issues and tremendous losses, our PCAP Case Managers remain diligent in connecting with their clients. Continued support for PCAP gives parents a fighting chance at not only improving their lives, but also the lives of their children and families. We would not be able to do this work without the support of the community and followers like you! πŸ’™
