community engagement. We provide employment services, specialized job training, career opportunities and centers for social enrichment and community resources. Our mission services include:

๐Ÿ”น Community Center: A safe space for social connection, life enrichment, and community integration.
๐Ÿ”น Opportunity Kitchen: Culinary training for successful careers in food service and hospitality.
๐Ÿ”น Empowerment Place: Critical support services for job searches, housing, and more.
๐Ÿ”น Federal Building: Community integration via janitorial and maintenance services, employing individuals with disabilities. As a social enterprise, we own and operate separate entities to generate revenue to support our mission services that include CI Information Management, Round Table Pizza, and Paradise Bottled Water.

Members of our employee resource groups, Boundless@WTP and Women@WTP, recently attended the Abilities Uncorked Benefit in support of Columbia Ability Alliance. Bechtel was proud to sponsor this yearโ€™s event, which raised $191,000 to help empower individuals with disabilities and other life barriers through programs and services to achieve greater independence, confidence, and opportunities.

๐Ÿ’™ Respite Accepted for Nexus Social Club!

Planning summer support just got easier. Nexus Social Club accepts 15 Hours of Respite -OR- $375/week private pay. (There is a discounted rate of $200 per week if you prepay and limited scholarships are available for Pasco residentsโ€™ courtesy of the City of Pasco CDBG funding.)

This gives families flexible options while creating a fun, safe, and meaningful summer experience for teens and young adults ages 12โ€“22 with disabilities.

Columbia Ability Alliance is launching Tri-Cities Superheroes, a community-wide campaign celebrating the incredible people we serve. We're looking for clients from ALL of our programs to be featured through photos, videos, and stories shared with the entire Tri-Cities community.

This summer, Columbia Ability Alliance is excited to welcome individuals ages 12 and up to participate in BOTH our Community Center sessions and Nexus Youth Club at our Community Center location in Kennewick all summer long! From June through August 2026, participants ages 12+ can attend all Community Center and Nexus sessions throughout the summer.

For families of youth with developmental and/or physical disabilities, that challenge can be even greater.

Nexus Social Club gives teens and young adults ages 12โ€“22 a safe, fun, and structured summer experience filled with:
