National Food Bank Day is a reminder of what we can accomplish when a community comes together.

At KACS Food Cupboard, our work happens every day: rescuing fresh food, stocking shelves, packing groceries, delivering food to homebound neighbors, and welcoming families with dignity and compassion.

But we can’t do it alone.
This Hunger Action Month, we’re asking our community to help us collect 10,000 pounds of food for KACS Food Cupboard! Every donation brings us closer to our goal and helps ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food when they need it most.

There are three powerful ways YOU can take action:
🥫 Donate food — fill a bag, organize a food drive, or bring your most-needed items to KACS.
💚 Donate funds — financial gifts allow us to purchase the food and supplies needed most.
🤝 Volunteer — help sort donations, stock shelves, pack food, make deliveries, and welcome our neighbors.

This National Food Bank Day, let’s turn compassion into action and show our neighbors that we are stronger when we care for one another.

Thank you, KSQ Mayor Matt Fetick for joining KACS and Chester County Food Bank to kick off Hunger Action Month!

Thank you, KSQ Mayor Matt Fetick for joining KACS and Chester County Food Bank to kick off Hunger Action Month!

On Wednesday I was proud to help kick off Hunger action month with KACS and Chester County Food Bank. We live in the wealthiest county in the Commonwealth and it’s easy to forget that we have neighbors who are struggling and need our help. Last year KACS provided support to over 2,000 families right here in Southern Chester County. Now is a great time to reach out and support this great organization.

KACS is grateful to Longwood Gardens for hosting a wonderful Ceramic Pot Decorating & Succulent Planting class at The Creamery of Kennett Square!

This experience gave families the opportunity to decorate a clay pot, plant a beautiful succulent, and learn how to care for their new plant, all while enjoying the simple joy of connecting with nature and with one another.

We especially loved that this class was designed for adults and children to learn together, creating a fun experience for the whole family. The class was presented in English with a Spanish translator, helping make the experience welcoming and accessible to our diverse community.

Thank you, Longwood Gardens, for creating opportunities that bring families together and help our community grow ... literally and figuratively!

SEPTEMBER IS HUNGER ACTION MONTH!

Hunger is closer than many of us realize and this September, KACS is asking our community to take action.

Our goal? 10,000 pounds of food donated to the KACS Food Cupboard by September 30.

That’s 10,000 pounds of groceries that can help stock the shelves and provide nutritious choices for our neighbors who are facing difficult decisions about how to make ends meet.

And we need YOU to help us get there.

🛒 From your pantry.
🥫 Organize a food drive.
🍎 Pick up a few extra items when you shop.
💛 Invite your neighbors, coworkers, friends, school or business to join you.

Every can, box and bag adds up.

10,000 pounds. One community. One month. Let’s do this together.
