CREBILLY FARM UPDATE — YOUR VOICES WERE HEARD. 🌿

Tonight, something beautiful happened. Neighbors from Westtown Township and surrounding communities came together — as they always do when it matters most — and filled the Board of Supervisors meeting to stand up for Crebilly Farm.

The proposed zoning language that would have opened the area near the Route 202/926 intersection to commercial development was tabled. And that happened because of this community, because of this family.

And it was Vince who said it best, standing up to address the room: “Thank you to all of you who continued to show up — we are family.”

He’s right. We are.

What makes Crebilly so extraordinary is exactly that — it belongs to all of us. Many who showed up tonight aren’t even Westtown Township residents. They couldn’t vote on its future. But they came anyway, because this land doesn’t stop at township lines. It is part of the Brandywine Battlefield. It is an ecological treasure. And under Pennsylvania’s Constitution — Article 1, Section 27 — every person in this Commonwealth has the right to clean air, clean water, and the preservation of our natural and historic spaces. That right belongs to all of us.

There is also deep concern about the historic tavern on the corner, which could be lost. If that matters to you, now is the time to make your voice heard.

Margaret Mead once said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world — indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

We are living proof.

Crebilly is a shared heritage, a gathering place, a promise to the children and grandchildren who will one day walk those fields and call it theirs too. Tonight, we showed up to make sure that promise is kept.

To every neighbor who came out, called a friend, or simply held this place in their heart — thank you. We are in this together, and together is exactly how we’ll see it through. 💚
