It started with two men who kept saying yes.

Mike Scamihorn and Rich Getz began gathering a small circle of men through our weekly Hesed Roundtable calls, committed to practicing the S.A.L.V.E. relational skills together. Week by week, a community took root. And the fruit has been tender, practical, and deeply life-giving.

From finishing a half-built chicken coop for a grieving family, to men praying together every Monday across five states, to a handful of ashes passed hand to hand as a living invitation to start again... this is what Hesed looks like in the ordinary places of everyday life.

We don’t have to be afraid or alone. We never walk this road without love.

Faithfulness rarely looks dramatic in the moment. It looks like showing up on the ordinary Tuesday when you’d rather stay home. It looks like staying in the room when leaving would be easier. It looks like making the relationship bigger than any problems.

That’s the kind of presence that changes everything — not loud, not perfect, just consistently there.
