We invite you to gather with us this Sunday as we come together as one community to reawaken our Buddha-nature.

This weekend, the Rimé Buddhist Center is honored to welcome Younge Khachab Rinpoche for a weekend of teachings and practice on the Third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje’s Aspiration of the Mahāmudrā of Definitive Meaning. Through these profound teachings, Rinpoche will guide us toward a deeper understanding of the nature of mind and the path to awakening.

Please note: This Sunday, October 11, Rinpoche’s teachings will begin at 10:00 a.m., replacing our regularly scheduled Sunday Service.

The Rime Center's Sunday Services will be located at the Rime Center in Northmoor, MO, or tune in online via YouTube Live for the Rime Center’s Online Sunday Service.

An Upright Pot: On Receiving Teachings from Visiting Teachers

When a teacher visits, attending isn't the same as receiving. Drawing on the Rimé vision, Patrul Rinpoche's three faults of the pot, and the Buddha's four reliances, this talk explores how to prepare our minds, hold the differences between teachers, and keep a teaching alive after the teacher leaves.

The Rime Center's Sunday Services will be located at the Rime Center in Northmoor, MO, or tune in online via YouTube Live for the Rime Center’s Online Sunday Service.

The Sky Was Never Stained

Welcome to the Rime Buddhist Center’s Dharma Talk Series!

In this talk, Lama Mattl teaches that our difficult thoughts and emotions are like clouds passing through the sky: temporary, vivid, and real, but never able to stain or change the sky itself. Using images of the sun, clouds, wind, and sky, it explains that awareness and Buddha nature remain clear, luminous, and unstained even when confusion, anxiety, anger, or grief arise. The talk emphasizes not confusing weather with identity, not fighting or suppressing experience, and not waiting for perfect conditions before practicing. It also highlights compassion: just as we shouldn’t reduce ourselves to our clouds, we shouldn’t reduce others to theirs. The path is about recognizing the sky in every kind of weather.
