A huge thank you to KC Farm School at Gibbs Road for giving our youth the opportunity to volunteer at their plant sale event! It was a fantastic turnout, and our youth were able to make a meaningful impact through their service. We are also incredibly grateful to our youth who gave up part of their Saturday to serve, support the community, and give back. Your dedication and willingness to help make a difference does not go unnoticed!

☀️ Summer programming may be over, but the work at YVCKC definitely isn’t!

We’re heading into a new school year with more opportunities to serve, lead, and make a difference across Kansas City — and we want youth voices helping lead the way! 💙

Applications are OPEN for our Youth Advisory Board (YAB)! YAB members help shape YVCKC, take on leadership roles, connect with other youth, and help us make an even bigger impact in our community. Plus, it’s a great way to build leadership experience, make new friends, and add something meaningful to those future college and scholarship applications!

This summer, Kansas City youth made a tremendous impact in communities across the metro!

We are incredibly proud of the time, energy, and dedication our young people invested in serving others and making a difference. These statistics represent more than numbers. They reflect lives touched, communities strengthened, and meaningful change created through service.

What. A. Summer. 💙💚

Our 2026 Summer of Service has officially come to an end, and we couldn’t be more proud of every young person who showed up, worked hard, and made a difference in our community.

Together, YVCKC youth completed more than 2,000 hours of service this summer! 🎉 From serving at local nonprofits and community organizations to learning new skills, making new friends, and reflecting on the impact they created, this summer was one to remember.

To every youth, parent, community partner, and volunteer who made this possible—thank you. Your time, kindness, and commitment helped make Kansas City a better place.

Just because summer is over doesn’t mean the service stops! School-year projects, clubs, leadership opportunities, and special events are just around the corner. Stay connected, keep volunteering, and let’s continue making an impact together all year long.
