All of our company members have a favorite step, here’s Ruby’s! 🩰

Fun fact: Passé is French and means to pass. So this movement is a passing motion of the foot, in a coupe position, from back to front!

✨A new tradition starting this season! ✨

Any kids in the audience that want to engage with the dancers? Then look no further! They can now look for our dancers at all of our shows and try to collect a trading card from all of them. They can even get them signed by the dancers! Start collecting them at our first show this season, Peter & the Wolf with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra at Chenery Auditorium on November 7th! 🤩🩰

Trading Cards designed and created by Stella Scavarda!

Our Artistic Team spent last weekend getting certified in the 4Pointe method! 4Pointe is a somatic and mindful method of pointe training designed to develop alignment, articulation, strength, efficiency, and long term dancer health. Betty and Lauren can’t wait to get back into the studio and teach our company members what they’ve learned! 🤩

Looking back on our 2025-26 season and wanted to share these stunning photos. We are almost a month away from the start of our 44th season! Many great announcements are coming soon!
Please consider supporting Ballet Arts Ensemble's 44th season! Established in 1982, BAE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching our community through the art of ballet. As a nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of donors, sponsors, grants, and community supporters to help make our mission possible. Contributions help offset the cost of productions, costumes, theatre rentals, music, training, and scholarships. Every gift, no matter the size, helps preserve and grow the performing arts for future generations. Thank you for believing in the power of dance and
helping BAE continue its legacy for another remarkable season!

We are so proud of these talented young dancers as they participate in the Grand Rapids Ballet School Senior Summer Intensive!

Ongoing training is at the heart of ballet. It takes dedication, perseverance, and a love of learning to develop the technique and artistry that allow this centuries-old art form to thrive. Every class, rehearsal, and workshop is another step in their artistic journey, and we can't wait to see all they bring back to our Ballet Arts Ensemble family this coming season.

Please join us in wishing these dancers a wonderful summer of learning, growth, and inspiration!
