We are here to help you find the right resources for you- in the moment and in the forever after. ❤️‍🩹

A part of grief that often comes later,
when the casseroles are gone,
the messages slow,
and life expects you to be “okay"...

For parents in the after: you’re not behind or doing this wrong.
For supporters: staying present matters more than you know.

We’re here to walk this part with you. If you’re in that space right now, you’re not alone.

We're here for the long stretch—not just the beginning.

March is Pregnancy After Loss Awareness Month, a time set aside to hold space for families who are navigating the tender, complicated path of pregnancy after miscarriage, stillbirth, or other perinatal loss. It’s a month to gently acknowledge the reality that joy and grief can exist side by side… and that both deserve to be seen and supported. 🫶🏻

For many parents, becoming pregnant again after loss is not simply a “fresh start.” It is a step forward while still carrying the memory of a child who is deeply loved and missed. Studies show that 50–80% of women become pregnant again within 12–18 months following a perinatal loss, statistics don’t capture the emotional weight of that journey. Behind each number is a family learning how to hope again while protecting their an already broken heart.

Pregnancy after loss can feel like walking a delicate line between fear and hope. There may be moments of deep happiness and excitement, followed by waves of anxiety that can blindside from nowhere. Early appointments can feel overwhelming. Milestones may bring both relief and renewed worry. Even sharing the news with others can feel complicated. 💔

If you are pregnant after loss, it’s important to know that whatever you are feeling is valid. The fear. The joy. The hesitation. The love. The grief that still lingers. Emotions often shift throughout the pregnancy… intense in the early weeks for some, easing over time for others but there is no “right” way to move through this experience.

This month, we honour the strength it takes to try again, the courage it takes to hope again, and the love that connects every part of the journey. By speaking openly and offering compassionate support, we can help ensure that no parent feels alone while navigating pregnancy and parenting after loss. ✨🫶🏻

For those who continue to reach for their children who have not yet or will not join us in this lifetime…

Infertility, secondary infertility, loss…it leaves a longing like no other.

Hanging stockings gets me every year. 💔🎄

This post is for those who have a living child with them.

Christmas can ask too much of a grieving parent. You find yourself trying to hold two worlds at once… the world where magic still belongs to your living child, and the world where your heart is quietly breaking for the one who should be here too.

You wrap gifts, pour orange juice into tiny glasses, place stockings by the fire, and all the while a part of you whispers, There should be one more. Grief doesn’t step aside because it’s December, it simply sits beside you as you try to make the season feel gentle for the child who still needs Christmas to sparkle.

If you’re moving through this festivities with a brave smile for your living child and a private ache for the one who’s missing, please know this: you are doing the impossible, and you are doing it with love that could move mountains.

You don’t have to pretend you’re fine. You don’t have to hide the ache. You can hold joy in one hand and sorrow in the other, and still be an extraordinary parent. Your love stretches across worlds.

This Christmas, may you find small pockets of peace. May your living child feel cherished. May your missing baby feel close. And may you feel seen, supported, and honoured for carrying both joy and grief through a season that tells you to choose only one.

You are not alone.

Zoe xx

Even after the heartbreaking loss of a baby, a woman’s body often still produces breast milk. Many parents are not prepared for this and may not receive enough guidance on what to do next—whether to express, donate, or suppress their milk.

The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) Fetal-Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) Program and researchers at Indiana University Bloomington are conducting a study to better understand women’s experiences with lactation education after a loss.

💡 Who can participate?

Moms who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal, or infant loss and are Indiana residents (or those who experienced their loss while living in Indiana) who are 18 years or older.

📋 If this applies to you, we’d be honored to hear your story. Please take our short survey here: https://qualtricsxm3r3wwvmgt.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5ustLC46PWysuSW or scan the QR code on the attached flyer.

Together, we can raise awareness and improve support for families navigating loss. 💜

Please reach out to me Frederica Jackson ([email protected]) or to Linzi Horsley ([email protected]) if you have any questions.

Today is Pregnancy And Infant Loss Awareness Day. It is also the International Wave of Light. Tonight all around the world, individuals will light candles for the babies they have lost. Niagara Falls is pink and blue tonight. Millions of mothers and fathers participate each year, making time for their grief and their love for a child that is not in their home but in their hearts. 🕯️ 🩷🩵

The morning I left for my induction with Finlan, I finished my video project with the Indiana Department of Health through Story Collab. It was part of a showcase this summer, and I’m ready to share it now here with you.

I will always share my story because there are far too many who have been silenced from doing so.
