Friends of Higashihara Park is an activity of the Lions Club of Kona Community Foundation, created to support the Harold Higashihara Park and Kamakana Playground. To learn how you can be a part of the Friends of Higashihara Park, and help with the many upcoming projects, please message us on this page. Kenny Tagavilla, from South Kona’s Honaunau, is a celebrated island-country artist with over 20 years of
musical experience. Known for his “Shaka and a Smile” charm, he’s a 9-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award
finalist and winner of the 2024 Contemporary Acoustic Album of the Year for his debut Kona Grown.
Following his 2024 release Music Man, Kenny continues to shine as a six-time finalist at the 2025 Nā Hōkū
Hanohano Awards, recognized for his soulful storytelling and collaborations.
