Two of our School of Navigation and Seamanship graduates, Mateo and Luke, sailed from French Polynesia with one of our yacht owners, Dale. They were at sea for 22 days before reaching Newport Beach, California. YWAM Flotilla is celebrating the success of their safe arrival!

The School of Navigation and Seamanship sent a team to French Polynesia as part of the Flotilla initiative. They sailed to the island of Tikehau where they got to do an Operation Christmas Child Event with the children. They were able to hand out 141 gift boxes that churches sent from all over the world.

Our Flotilla yacht run by Dale and Dawn Winson with the School of Nav outreach team helping to crew. 142 Operation Christmas Child boxes loaded up. They are heading to the island atoll of Tikehau in French Polynesia, equipped with recording equipment to capture the Book of Luke in the local mother tongue. Pray for their safe passage.

According to the Joshua Project, there are 1,579 people groups across the Pacific and Australia. Many of these people groups do not have access to an airstrip, and therefore sailing is the only way to reach them. 2 Islands down!! 14 to go in reaching the 16 isolated islands in the Tuamotu Archipelago of French Polynesia (Amanu and Kauehi islands visited).

YWAM Flotilla is gearing up for the 2024 sailing season!

There are several yachts gearing up to head to the remaining islands to continue the ministry in 2024.

The Flotilla team will be engaging in ministries of Operation Christmas Child including a Children's' Discipleship Program.

Become a qualified Seaman equipped to serve in Missions!

Our School of Navigation and Seamanship is open for applications before the School commencement in April 2024.

Students will receive classroom instruction and immediately put what they have learned into practice including hands-on training by serving as crew onboard a 30 foot sailing vessel.

The course will cover the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Day Skipper theory course with the opportunity to earn an RYA Certification.
