At the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, two male flamingos have reportedly taken on the role of raising an adopted chick together, offering a fascinating example of caregiving behavior in the animal world. Same s*x pair bonding and parenting have been documented across numerous animal species, and flamingos are among the birds known for forming strong social bonds. Their story has captured attention not only because of the unusual family arrangement, but because the two birds are reportedly providing the chick with the same kind of care and protection expected from any dedicated flamingo parents.
