Good morning! We hope everyone is having a great start to June! This week our calendar only has 1 event. If possible, try to make it!

Monday, June 8th - The ladies will be playing CANASTA at the Joplin North Park Mall. Play begins at 12:30 p.m.

Whether you’re a new or seasoned player we’d love to have you join us. The ladies are great at teaching new players and we always have such a good time!

Dues for 2026-2027 are now payable to Membership Chair Donna Woolman. Dues are considered delinquent after June 30th and may incur a penalty to be reinstated.

JAWC has been involved in our community in several different ways, either through your donations or being a volunteer. Thank you so much for all you do for our club and community!

Good afternoon ladies we’re into the summer months so remember, although we will continue having our luncheons, we will not be taking names on who plans to attend each month, we will not be having a meeting at the luncheons and when you attend the next 3 luncheons you will be ordering off the menu!

Monday, June 1st - The ladies will be playing Mah Jong at the Home of Cindy Starrett. Players will meet at 01:00 p.m. To reserve your spot please contact Lana Nelson.

Wednesday, June 3rd - We will be meeting at 11:00 a.m. at The Carthage Deli at 301 S. Main St in Carthage. Please contact Barb King if you plan to attend.`

This past Thursday some of the Joplin Area Welcome Club ladies got together to prepare food that we served today at the Minnie Hackney Center to those who were less fortunate. We had so much fun getting to know the people and they are so appreciative.

A big thank you goes to Cindy Starrett, Connie LG Mace, Donna Woolman, Marilyn Smiles, Cindy Fox, Mary Weatherford, Monica Vaughn and Vicki Philipps. Thank you ladies for volunteering!

Today the Joplin Area Welcome Club had our monthly luncheon at the Joplin Museum Complex. Kelly Reddin, President of the Joplin Historical Society discussed the remodeling of the museum, the Route 66 Street Art and some upcoming events. It was very interesting!

The food was catered by EZ CUISINE and was very good.

REMINDER: 💰 2026-27 dues are now payable to Membership Chair Donna Woolman. 💲20 dues can be paid at the upcoming May 26th Luncheon or mail a check made to JAWC to Donna's home address.
Having dues paid by May 31 helps to keep the treasury books balanced as we finish off this fiscal year.
Dues are considered delinquent after June 30.

We want you all to return as members, so please attend to your dues promptly.💸

Ten "DAY Trip DIVAS" JAWC members visited Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art yesterday to enjoy the America: 250 exhibit, and lunch of course. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful art and the chance to visit and chat. Join us next time.
