At the YWCA we live our mission and will do whatever it takes to eliminate racism and empower women. Better yet, come by and see for yourself!

We are mothers, daughters, sisters and friends,

We are artists, athletes, volunteers and professionals,

We are strong, driven, compassionate and charismatic,

We are all these things and so much more,

We are theYWCA of Greater Johnstown. At the YWCA we work hard to provide the Greater Johnstown community with a variety of programs that provide services to those in need, educate the community on women’s issues, strive for the elimination of racial injustice, and promote health and wellness. We encourage you to explore our site and learn more about the work we are doing.

Emory Gunby, a senior at Bishop McCort Catholic High School, presented a check for $700 to the Board of Directors of the YWCA Greater Johnstown last night. The donation is the result of a fundraiser Emory organized as part of his Confirmation service project.

The funds will go toward improvements to the YWCA’s heating system, part of the organization’s broader effort to upgrade its facility.

The YWCA Greater Johnstown Board of Directors thanked Emory for his initiative and commitment to giving back to the community.
