At the Community Kitchen, located at 1611 Spring Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana, we’re proud to provide a free, hot meal 6 days a week to those in need across Southern Indiana.

We had such a delicious lunch today!

🐟 Fish with tartar sauce
🥦 Fresh cauliflower
🧀 Macaroni and cheese
🍅 Mozzarella and tomato salad
🥗 Ranch salad with tomato, cucumber, bacon, cheese, and a boiled egg
🍓 Pudding and strawberries
🍬 Rock candy and trick-or-treat candy
🥛 Milk and iced tea
🥪 Turkey and cheese sandwiches to go

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer group for providing such a delicious meal! This amazing crew comes in once a month to give their time, serve our community, and make a difference. Look at this wonderful meal our volunteers cooked up today!

Homemade pulled chicken BBQ sandwiches, cowboy beans with bacon and onion, ranch salad topped with ham, cheese, tomatoes and boiled egg, macaroni salad, mixed fruit, pudding, lemonade, iced tea and milk!

A huge thank-you to our amazing volunteers for taking the time to prepare such a delicious meal and help make a difference. We appreciate you!

Today we served up a delicious lunch!

On the menu: Chili mac with cheese, crackers, peas and carrots, salad with ranch, tomato wedges, boiled eggs, fresh veggies with dip (celery, cucumbers, sweet peppers & cauliflower), spinach artichoke dip with pumpernickel bread, cottage cheese, cinnamon peaches and pears, doughnuts, Hostess cakes, and plenty of tea, coffee, lemonade, and water!

We proudly served 210 people today! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission. There’s always a seat at our table, and we are grateful for every opportunity to serve our community!

Jeffersonville Community Kitchen would like to recognize and thank Dale Popp and his staff at the Trustee’s office. Dale and his staff have been incredibly instrumental in making Community Kitchen the success it is today. We are a soup kitchen serving approximately 60,000 meals per year, while partnering with the outreach programs in our area, providing the wraparound services.

My first meeting with Dale was approximately 10 years ago. It was my first month serving as President of the Board. Dale let me know that we were not making enough effort to support ourselves and cut our annual allowance by 50%. Although this was devastating, I admired the fact he held us accountable and was such a good steward of the taxpayer’s money. He understands he manages the taxpayer’s money and holds the benefactors accountable.

To this day, we have made great strides in becoming financially sound but we honestly would not be to this point if not for the support of Trustee Popp and his staff.

For our part, we continue to serve hot nutritious meals, six days per week. We are partnering with other agencies in Southern Indiana addressing the WHY people visit Community Kitchen. With the continued support of Trustee Popp, we are confident we will make substantial and sustainable impact in the community.
