“As a Christian, Moon said he feels blessed to be able to feed people in need and make renovations like that of the kitchen possible. All in all, he said, it takes about half a million dollars per year to fund the shelter’s total operations, an amount he’s still surprised Catalyst can achieve.

“That’s what this is about: it’s about bringing hope,” he said. “I see this, and I’m like, ‘Man...’ But then I have to think, ‘Well, what’s the next thing I’ve got to do?’ Because we have other things. It’s always something.”

Thank you to Excel Excavating for coming through to install our new 2-inch water line into the shelter! We are especially appreciative of our board member, former Mayor Tom Galligan, for assisting with this project. We are also thankful for the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana’s capacity building grant we received to help cover the cost of this endeavor.
