❤️ **7 YEARS OF HOPE. 7 YEARS OF IMPACT. 7 YEARS OF CATALYST.**

Recently it marked seven years since Catalyst Rescue Mission began serving our community.

In those seven years, Catalyst has worked alongside **more than 6,000 individuals experiencing homelessness**, helping people transform their lives and begin building toward a better future.

And **489 individuals have moved into permanent housing.**

Those aren't just numbers. They represent people. Stories. Families. New beginnings. And they represent what can happen when a community comes together and decides that every person deserves hope and an opportunity for a better future.

Now, we want to celebrate with the friends who help make this work possible. ❤️

One contributing factor to homelessness is a lack of available resources. We receive a daily email from the Louisville Coalition for the Homeless that highlights bed availability in the city. Daily it reads: There are no remaining shelter beds tonight.

Catalyst has NEVER been completely full but our average daily census in 2026 remains around 105 of the 131 beds claimed. We would be open to expanding and/or operating a second women’s and children’s shelter, if more resources were available.

We are more than an emergency shelter!! We are people who care!! This gentleman will likely not be included in any statistics but we helped get him into the treatment he needs. However, our impact and what Fred did for him will be felt in his life for a long, long time.
