Three Princeton Theological Seminary alumni—Gavin Chase, MDiv ’26; Yanan Rahim N. Melo, MDiv ’25; and John Walker, MDiv ’22—were among just 10 Christian scholars and leaders selected for Interfaith America’s inaugural Good Neighbors Fellowship. They will participate in the yearlong fellowship, which is dedicated to modeling how evangelicals can contribute to and learn from a religiously pluralist U.S. society.

We are honored to share with you that James Hudnut-Beumler received an Excellence in Theological Education Award last week at General Assembly 227 in Milwaukee last week. Jim recently retired from Vanderbilt Divinity School.

A historian, pastor, teacher, and leader, Jim has spent decades shaping theological education through his work at Columbia Theological Seminary and Vanderbilt Divinity School. Through his scholarship, mentorship, and commitment to forming future ministers, he has influenced generations of pastors, scholars, and church leaders across the Presbyterian Church and beyond.

From the classroom to the dinner table, from seminary halls to General Assembly, Jim’s ministry reminds us that theological education is ultimately about forming people for the work of the church.
