Registration is now open for our final 2025 Snowmobile Safety Education Course. This course will be held on December 2 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and December 13 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Rock County Sheriff's Office. Both sessions are mandatory to graduate.

Register at https://www.co.rock.wi.us/departments/sheriff-s-office/recreational-patrol/snowmobile-education. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1985, is required to take a Snowmobile Safety Education Course in order to legally operate a snowmobile in areas open to the public within Wisconsin. Students should be at least 12 years old.

Unfortunately Mother Nature only cooperated for a short time but hopefully you were able to get out and enjoy the trails!

Mother Nature has finally cooperated with us and trails open at noon!

Remember trails are in early season riding conditions so use extra caution and as always STAY ON MARKED TRAILS! Big thanks to the volunteers that are working tirelessly to make the trails as great as they can be!

Now with all that said, go enjoy the great trails of rock county!

Unfortunately Mother Nature isn’t cooperating so trails will be closing. Pray for colder temps and snow! Huge thanks to all the volunteers who made it all happen!

1/22/24. Due to the incoming warm weather and rain in the forecast all the trails controlled by the Rock County Alliance of Snowmobile Clubs will close at 6am on Tuesday 1/23/24. Let’s hope the weatherman is wrong and this weather doesn’t last as long as they say.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers that make our trails great for all to enjoy! Without all the volunteers and the time they commit to snowmobiling in rock county the trails we all enjoy wouldn’t be possible. Join a local club to learn how you can help make it all happen! Get out and enjoy the great trails!
