A common struggle in the veteran community is the belief that because their military career or service is over, that so is their purpose.

That’s a lie we seek to demolish.

When we’re in Christ, no matter what place of work we find ourselves in, we remain on mission to bring the gospel into that space.

We believe no matter where God currently has us, he has a reason for placing us there for however short or long that time is. When we shift our perspective to understand this, we show up with humility and gratitude rather than pride or disgruntlement.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

Colossians 3:23-24

Until we pursue Christ and have a desire for him alone above all else, nothing in this life will quench our thirst for the joy and purpose that comes through surrender and a relationship with Jesus.

When God created man face to face from the dust of the earth he imprinted his image into our very being. So that even when we try to run and deny his existence, we forever feel that deep void and internal wrestle that something isn’t right.

So with our heart of stone, we pursue the shiny temptations of this world. We believe the lie that these are what will finally satisfy that longing to be fully loved and fully known by our creator.

Only by the blood and grace of Jesus can we be reconciled and our minds renewed to see him for who he truly is.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.“

If you come to Project Savior Outdoors, you’ll find a community of warriors that are hungry for what the Lord is doing. Igniting purpose and defying darkness every single week.

The enemy wants to isolate men to keep us weak and out of the fight by lying and saying we’re unfit for use because of our mistakes and our mess.

But God says, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

So we fight those lies with the truth of God’s word and step out of that isolation and into community with brothers that will help strengthen us.

As James 5:16 says, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.”

So to all of you veterans and first responders that see this community and deep down you know you need it but you hesitate out of fear and doubt, we would encourage you to come and see.
