Grateful for the opportunity to engage with the students and faculty of KIPP Voice Academy during their 8th Annual Career Day.

More than 80 eighth-grade students explored the future of transportation through an interactive session on autonomous vehicle technology led by Javier Coba (Jacksonville Transportation Authority) and Darrell Eakins Jr. (Beep Inc. & The DuBlasé Foundation). From classroom learning to a live NAVI vehicle demonstration, students experienced innovation in a hands-on and meaningful way.

Thank you to Assistant Principal Ms. Tanisha Bell and KIPP Voice Academy for creating opportunities that inspire the next generation of thinkers, builders, and leaders.

What is the Minecraft Education: New Jax City Build Challenge?

The New Jax City Build Challenge invites the next generation of thinkers and leaders to reimagine our city, from the ground up. In partnership with the City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government, Duval County Public Schools, and Minecraft Education, students are designing the future of our communities through STEM, sustainability, and innovation.

Powered by public-private partnerships and community stakeholders, this initiative goes beyond competition, creating real opportunities through scholarships, prizes, and meaningful investment in the next generation.

With a potential reach of 175,000+ students across public, private, charter, homeschool, and college communities, the journey leads to a high-energy, esports-style competition where student visions take center stage in front of judges and city leaders, for the title!

We had the pleasure of being a speaker at the Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board – University of North Florida Environmental Symposium. This year’s theme was Our Common Ground: Finding Balance and Empowering Communities.

Our session was titled Creative Engagement: Public-Private Partnerships for Environmental Education and Action. We explored how the DuBlasé Foundation leverages public-private partnerships to engage the community and youth through our Minecraft Education Build Challenge initiative, an annual event that strengthens sustainability education and community action. Special thanks to JEPB for the invite.
