As another hot Florida summer comes to an end, it's time to relax, laugh, and reconnect! Join your fellow TWCJ members for a delightful lunch filled with friendship, conversation, and stories of favorite summer vacations. Whether your adventures took you across the country or just around the corner, we'd love to hear about them while enjoying a delicious meal together. The Woman's Club of Jacksonville proudly hosted its Annual Scholarship Luncheon on May 27, 2026, at Timuquana Country Club. We were honored to recognize 28 outstanding young women who are graduating high school or continuing their college education. The organization granted $54,500 in scholarships.

A special highlight of the program was the presentation of the Jerry Ferguson Memorial Scholarship, named in honor of Jerry Ferguson, a longtime club member and dedicated community leader. This award was presented to Sage Peterson, a graduate of Stanton College Preparatory School, in recognition of her outstanding achievements and promise for the future.

Congratulations to all of the scholarship recipients as they pursue their educational goals and future success!

🌿 Members of TWCJ had the pleasure of hearing From Ashes to New David McGowan, retiring President and CEO of WJCT Public Media. He shared reflections on a remarkable career in public broadcasting and community impact. His insights on leadership, storytelling, and service left us all feeling grateful and motivated. In addition, we awarded several mini-grants and welcomed new members. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special program!
