Get2College Get2College is a college access program of the Woodward Hines Education Foundation (WHEF). The best part, all of our services and resources are FREE.

Get2College is the flagship program of the Woodward Hines Education Foundation (WHEF). Get2College works directly with students, families, and educators to remove barriers to college attendance and support a college-going culture. Three Get2College centers in Southaven, Jackson, and Ocean Springs offer one-on-one college counseling and planning services including career counseling, free ACT® prep,

educator workshops, and hands-on assistance in completing forms and securing financial aid. We also provide FAFSA Completion Days in 75% of the high schools across Mississippi and professional development for high school counselors.

Behind every student success story is a network of leaders committed to expanding opportunity.

We're excited to celebrate recent board leadership and membership updates at the Woodward Hines Education Foundation and Mississippi Higher Education Assistance Corporation, including the appointment of Tianna H. Raby, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Entergy Mississippi, LLC, to the Board of Directors.

The leadership and guidance of our Board help make it possible for Get2College, the college access program of WHEF, to support students and families across Mississippi as they navigate college planning, financial aid, and pathways to education and training beyond high school.

Recapping and reliving last week's Camp College Gulf Coast! 🎓✨

Throughout the week, students learned how to navigate financial aid and scholarships, explored college and career pathways, and experienced college life firsthand through campus visits across the Gulf Coast.

On Wednesday, campers visited Mississippi State University, where they learned about the admissions process and ways to get involved on campus. Thursday featured a Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) World Tour, giving students an inside look at career and technical education programs and other two-year degree opportunities while visiting the college’s three main campuses. On Friday, campers traveled to The University of Southern Mississippi, enjoyed lunch on campus, and participated in a student panel featuring current college students who shared their experiences, offered advice, and answered questions both in person and via Zoom.

The future is bright, and we’re proud of every student who invested in themselves this week. Keep dreaming big—we can't wait to see where your journey takes you! 🌟💙💛

Join fellow admissions and college access professionals on July 21, 2026, for a morning of collaboration, professional learning, and conversations focused on helping students succeed in the college-going process. The summit, taking place from 9am - 12pm at the Old Capitol Inn in Jackson, will feature presentations, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities with professionals from across Mississippi and beyond.

Best of all, the Admissions Counselor Summit is FREE to attend and takes place prior to the MACRAO conference (July 21-22). Attendance at MACRAO is optional.
