Get2College Get2College is a college access program of the Woodward Hines Education Foundation (WHEF). The best part, all of our services and resources are FREE.

Get2College is the flagship program of the Woodward Hines Education Foundation (WHEF). Get2College works directly with students, families, and educators to remove barriers to college attendance and support a college-going culture. Three Get2College centers in Southaven, Jackson, and Ocean Springs offer one-on-one college counseling and planning services including career counseling, free ACT® prep,

educator workshops, and hands-on assistance in completing forms and securing financial aid. We also provide FAFSA Completion Days in 75% of the high schools across Mississippi and professional development for high school counselors.

As educators, we know that student success starts with being equipped with the right tools and information. 💡

This fall, Get2College and the Mississippi Department of Education are bringing Regional CCR Teacher Trainings across the state to support College & Career Readiness teachers as they prepare for the 2026–27 school year.

Attendees will receive curriculum support, course updates, resource guidance, and practical information they can immediately apply in the classroom. Plus, participants will earn 0.5 CEUs and enjoy lunch during the training.

When students face an unexpected barrier to continuing their education, partnership matters.

Demand for the State Representative Bill Kinkade FAITH (Fostering Access and Inspiring True Hope) Scholarship exceeded available state funding, leaving about 170 eligible students without an initial award for the 2026–27 academic year.

Woodward Hines Education Foundation has committed $800,000 in guaranteed funding to help eligible students continue their education this fall. Mississippi colleges and universities are also helping students find scholarships, grants, tuition assistance, and other resources.

🎓 Students and families: If you received a notice about FAITH Scholarship funding, contact your college or university’s financial aid office to discuss next steps.

🤝 Individuals and organizations: You can support these students through a tax-deductible contribution.
