It was a great engaging group for the MEEA Meet-up last week. We learned about Project WET and WILD and Project Learning Tree. We also discussed what each of us are doing and our wants and needs for environmental education. A very productive Meet-Up!

Bow Seat’s True Blue Fellowship close soon—on August 30th at 11:59 p.m. ET.
The True Blue Fellowship supports young people in turning their creative environmental ideas into action through project funding, mentorship, and capacity-building. If you know youth in your network who may be interested, we would greatly appreciate your help sharing this opportunity with them before the deadline.

The Gulf of America Alliance Education Products Professional Development Initiative is seeking two middle school teachers (Grades 5–8) from each of the 5 Gulf States to develop lessons aligned with the Gulf Literacy Principles and the Waters to the Sea: Gulf Adventure. For those selected, a stipend up to $2,000 will be provided upon the completion of the project. The application closes August 28th with the project starting on September 14th.

Union County Heritage Museum Youth camp, New Albany, MS. Demonstrated the Enviroscape, did water quality testing, look at macroinvertebrates in vials, and did a water cycle bracelet activity. Had a great time with these kids!
