🔥 CELTICFEST MISSISSIPPI IS BACK! 🔥
Hear the ring of the anvil and feel the heat of the forge! The Mississippi Forge Council is setting up live blacksmithing demonstrations all weekend long at the 35th Annual CelticFest Mississippi! Come watch masters of the craft transform raw metal into art right before your eyes.

🔨 MFC Monthly Meeting Reminder!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our MFC monthly meeting!

Joe Foreman, aka Slo Mo Panda, will be demonstrating blacksmithing joints and tenons.

Also, if you can, please bring an Iron in the Hat item. I’ve been told there will be a few high-end items up for grabs this month, so you definitely don’t want to miss it!

🔥 MISSISSIPPI FORGE COUNCIL — THIS SATURDAY! 🔥

Come join us this Saturday at the Mississippi Ag Museum Blacksmith Shop for our regular monthly meeting and a great blacksmithing demonstration!

🔨 Demonstrator: Joe Foreman — “Slo Mo Panda”

Joe will be demonstrating blacksmithing joints and tenons, showing the techniques used to create strong, functional, and attractive connections in forged iron.

Whether you're an experienced smith, just getting started, or simply interested in traditional blacksmithing, everyone is welcome!

This Saturday the 15th our very own Joe Foreman AKA "Slow-Mo-Panda" will be demonstrating the techniques that are taught in the Green Coal class, such as how to light a coal forge as well as the various forging processes involved to make a fire poker. The meeting starts at 9am in the McIntosh Blacksmith shop at the MS AG Museum, in Jackson, MS, parking will be in the Sparkman parking lot. We will also have our Iron In the Hat, this helps us raise funds for materials and events to educate the public about the art of smithing. If you have any items to donate, please bring them and thank you! Those tickets will be available at the event.

🔥 GREEN COAL BEGINNER BLACKSMITH CLASS 🔥

Ever wanted to learn the ancient art of forging metal? Now is your chance! Join us at the historic McIntosh Shop located inside the MS AG Museum for a hands-on introduction to blacksmithing.In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn the essential basics of hammer control, heating steel, twisting, tapering, and forge welding.
By the end of the day, you will walk away with a custom fire poker handcrafted by your own two hands!

⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: McIntosh Shop at the MS AG Museum (Small Town, USA)

💵 Cost: $100 per student
