πŸ”₯ MUTUAL AID β€” HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS πŸ”₯

Our crews were called out yesterday to assist our neighbors in Edwards County as they continue battling major wildland fires that have kept firefighters busy throughout the weekend.

With multiple fires burning and difficult conditions on the ground, mutual aid has been requested from several surrounding departments. Mountain Home Fire Dept., Hunt Volunteer Fire Department and Divide Volunteer Fire Department were all dispatched to assist with these wildland fires, along with numerous other departments from surrounding jurisdictions who have answered the call.

The Whitetail Fire is now reported at 100% contained, which is great news. However, the McKee Draw Fire presents much more difficult terrain and remains active, currently reported at approximately 65% contained.

Today, our neighbors at Mountain Home and Hunt were dispatched to assist with the McKee Draw Fire.

This is what the fire service is all about β€” neighbors helping neighbors, departments coming together, and crews putting in the hard work to protect our communities. ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Please keep all of the firefighters, their families, and the communities being impacted in your prayers. πŸ™πŸΌ

And most importantly, pray for rain. 🌧️ We desperately need some relief from these fires and these dangerous conditions.

Stay safe out there, brothers and sisters. πŸš’β€οΈ

πŸš’ COMMUNITY RELIEF UPDATE β€” INGRAM VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

Ingram Volunteer Fire Department continues to work with several generous donors and supporters who are helping us provide much-needed supplies to families throughout our community.

For the protection of those donors, our organization, and the people we are serving, we will not always publicly identify the individuals or organizations providing supplies. Unfortunately, during times of disaster, there are people who may attempt to take advantage of the generosity of others or misrepresent themselves in order to obtain donations.

Please know that Ingram Volunteer Fire Department maintains accountability for the donated items entrusted to our organization. We take that responsibility seriously and are committed to making sure these resources reach people who truly need them.

Our efforts are also not limited to the Ingram area. We are doing everything we can to assist families throughout Kerr County and get available supplies into the hands of those impacted.

We also want to be transparent: we are a volunteer organization, and our ability to make deliveries depends heavily on available manpower. When we have the personnel and resources available, we will work as hard as we can to get supplies where they are needed. We may not be able to reach everyone immediately, but please know we are doing the very best we can.

Our mission is simple: serve our community, protect the generosity of those supporting it, remain accountable for what has been entrusted to us, and help as many people as we possibly can.

Thank you to everyone who continues to donate, volunteer, support, and trust Ingram Volunteer Fire Department as we work together to help Kerr County recover. β€οΈπŸš’

We may bend, but we won’t break.
