When a man first arrives at Harvest Academy, one of the very first things he encounters is the bench. Positioned right next to our front door, it serves as a powerful symbol, a literal portal between an old life and a new one.
That front door? It isn't locked. It stands as a constant reminder of personal agency: you can walk out whenever you want. If you choose to leave, you can go right back to the world you left behind and have your misery refunded 100%.
Or, you can choose to sit.
You can sit on that bench and reflect on the man you wish to become. It’s a space to catch your breath, let go of the past, and prepare for what's ahead. Because right past that door isn't just a program. It’s a brotherhood and a family of men who are on the exact same path of reinvention, ready to greet you.
Even long after a man's first day, the bench remains an important tool on campus whenever a little extra self-reflection is needed. It’s a place to pause, reset, and remember why you started.
..And speaking of needing a moment of self-reflection, it looks like this cute puppy decided he needed a little time on the bench today, too!
