From building healthy habits and practicing accountability to sweating it out through the Harvest Academy Insanity workout, these men are putting in the real work. Seeing them show up day after day to support each other and build a stronger foundation is inspiring to watch.

We want to take a moment to revisit our trip to the University of Iowa and give a HUGE thank you to Coach Kirk Ferentz!

As you can imagine, Coach Ferentz is a busy man, yet he still took the time to meet with our students and staff, have lunch with us, and sit down and talk.

The similarities he made between a football team and the work we do here at Harvest Academy were astounding.

Accountability. Teamwork. Camaraderie. Discipline. Always being a student and continuing to grow.

These are just a few of the lessons Coach shared with us, and we are extremely grateful for every bit of knowledge he passed along.

But there was one thing Coach said that really resonated with us: PREPARATION.

“One thing that will keep me up at night is if we are underprepared. Of course the goal is to win games, but if we spent all week preparing properly as a team and we go out and leave it all on the field as a unit and walk away with a loss, I can live with that because we did the work to prepare. But coming in unprepared is unacceptable.”

That’s what we teach here at Harvest Academy.

The two years these men spend in our program are preparation for a new life. One they are working toward every single day.

Not every day is a win.

But we learn from our mistakes. We hold each other accountable. We show up for one another as a team. We put in the work. And when it’s time to step onto that field, we leave it all out there.

Because success isn’t just about the outcome.

It’s about knowing you prepared yourself for the opportunity.

And who knows… maybe we even score a few touchdowns along the way. 🏈

Weekend routines done right.

There is truly nothing better than Saturday night pickleball to bring everyone together, blow off some steam, and enjoy each other's company. Strong connections happen both at work and our off-times together, and these are the moments that make this community feel like home.

What an incredible day for our students and staff!

We had the absolute privilege of taking a field trip to the University of Iowa to watch their football team practice, tour the facilities, and walk the iconic field.

Experiences like this show our guys what is possible when you work hard and dream big. A massive thank you to the University of Iowa for welcoming our community and showing us such incredible hospitality!

Never stand between a house full of hungry guys and a chance to win groceries.

Two years ago, we put our acting skills to the test to win a van for Harvest Academy. We may not have won, but looking back at this skit has us laughing all over again. Grateful for the humor, the hustle, and the brotherhood that keeps this house running!

There’s a powerful lesson in the way our four-legged friends love us: unconditionally, selflessly, and without reservation.

At Harvest Academy, that’s the same spirit we strive to bring to our community every single day. True brotherhood means showing up for one another with that same unconditional care, lifting each other up, and caring about our brothers' success as much as our own.

Happy to all the furry companions who remind us what selfless love looks like!

Nothing better than starting your day with some vulnerability. For this morning meeting entertainment, the guys got vulnerable and sang some Simple Man karaoke. Learning how to be yourself, have a good time, and share some laughs is so important. Real growth happens when we let our guard down, support each other through the awkward moments, and remember not to take ourselves too seriously.

Watching these three men make a profound commitment to themselves and Harvest Academy is one of our absolute favorite things.

Pledging an oath in front of the house, symbolically crossing the bridge, and being officially welcomed as members of our community marks a massive milestone in the journey to whole-person change.

We are so proud of you guys for stepping up, showing up, and doing the work. Congrats, guys, the best is yet to come!

We are still thinking about our amazing groundbreaking event from last month. We are so excited to see something greater growing in Iowa. Seeing the community rally around us as we work to build a space for more men to change their lives has been incredible to witness. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.
