Indianapolis Firefighters Local 416 was proud to be represented at this year’s Indy Labor Fest by Brother Brent Henady, alongside Professional Fire Fighters Union of Indiana President Tony Murray.

Hosted by the Central Indiana AFL-CIO, Indy Labor Fest brought together union members, working families, labor leaders, community partners, and friends from across Central Indiana to celebrate the strength and solidarity of organized labor.

Brent and President Murray proudly represented Indiana’s fire service, connecting with fellow union members and community members while sharing information about careers in the fire service and the path to becoming a career firefighter.

Events like Indy Labor Fest are a great reminder that while our professions may be different, the labor movement stands together with a common purpose: supporting working families, strengthening our communities, and protecting the men and women who keep them running.

Local 416 is proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our Brothers and Sisters throughout organized labor.

Thank you to Brother Brent Henady and President Tony Murray for representing our members and Indiana’s professional firefighters.

🚑 “I don’t know what medications I take.”

We hear this more often than you might think.

Knowing what medications you take can give EMS important information about your medical history and help us make safer treatment decisions. Blood thinners are especially important for us to know about after a fall, head injury, or bleeding.

You don’t have to memorize everything! 💊

Keep an updated medication list in your wallet, purse, phone, or on your refrigerator with:
• Medication names and doses
• How often you take them
• Medication allergies
• Major medical conditions

If you become confused or unconscious during an emergency, that list can speak for you.

🚑 A few minutes of preparation today can make a big difference when every minute matters.

Twenty-five years later, we remember those we lost and honor those who answered the call.

On September 11, 2001, firefighters, police officers, EMS professionals, and rescue teams responded from across the country. Among them were members of Indiana Task Force One (IN-TF1), who deployed to New York City and the World Trade Center to join the search-and-rescue effort at Ground Zero.

This September 11th, Indianapolis Firefighters Local 416 invites the fire service community to march in their honor.

We will recognize the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, remember every life lost, and honor IN-TF1 members who represented Indianapolis and Indiana at the World Trade Center.

Our goal is to have 343 or more participants march approximately 1.7 miles from Local 416 to the memorial beside IFD Station 13 at the Canal.

We want our IN-TF1 members to see hundreds of their brothers and sisters walking behind them.
