Need CME? We've got you covered!

The IOA will be hosting two more CME events this year:

On November 14th, we are partnering with ACOFP to host an AOBFP-Approved OCC training. This event is geared towards physicians who would like to meet the OCC Component 3 Requirement through the Hands-On-Training Pathway. The training will consist of 2 modules (8 hours total):

*OMT Next Level: Exercise Prescription
*OMT Next Level: Core Clinical Conditions in Family Practice

Additionally, we will be hosting our 45th Annual Winter Update on December 5-6. This year, our winter update will be fully virtual, so registrants may join for the live virtual conference, or they may complete their credits at their own pace before December 31st (18 CME credits).

Our delegates had a great time at the AOA House of Delegates this weekend in Chicago! We had 7 physician members with us and 2 Marian University Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine students in our delegation.

We’re excited to connect with students today at the residency fair!

We’re sharing more about the Indiana Osteopathic Association and the Motyka Dannin Osteopathic Educational Foundation — including the Foundation’s annual $10,000 forgivable loan for an Indiana osteopathic medical student, as well as grants that help students attend conferences, research opportunities, and educational courses.

We are proud to support the next generation of osteopathic physicians and invest in the future of healthcare in Indiana.

We had a great DO Day today! We were able to meet with legislators to discuss issues important to physicians, medical students and patients. Thank you to everyone that was able to meet with us today. Senator Johnson also won our Legislator of the Year award for 2025, for his work in SB 480 and working with us on other bills, and was presented his award today.

Today, Hoosiers in towns across the state held memorial services in honor of World AIDS Day. In Bloomington, students held lecture series, and artists created and displayed a memorial quilt. In Indianapolis, community members gathered for a vigil at the Indiana AIDS Memorial in Crown Hill Cemetery, which is the 4th oldest permanent AIDS memorial in the U.S.

World AIDS Day is a time to honor those we’ve lost, support those living with HIV, and work toward a future free of stigma and discrimination. Raising awareness and promoting testing and prevention can help the fight to end HIV/AIDS.
