Masjid Al-Fajr Indianapolis Masjid Al-Fajr was founded in its current location in 1991 and is the oldest masjid in Indianapolis. IMCA's Constitutional Objectives:

Since then, it has gained a reputation for its diversity, and its leadership in the Indianapolis community. Masjid al-Fajr is part of the Indianapolis Muslim Community Association (IMCA), which also governs and fundraises for the IMCA Food Pantry, MTI School of Knowledge (preK-12 non-public Islamic school), the Muslim Task Force, Al-Ilm Weekend School, and the Cemetery Project. IMCA's Mission:

To fulfill the teachings of Islam, to assist Muslims to live according to the teachings of Qur'an and Sunnah as provided by Ahl-el-Sunnah wal-Jamah, and to present the religion of Islam to the general public. Build a strong and dynamic Islamic Community in Central Indiana by establishing institutions and conducting religious, educational, social, and charitable activities for the community. Present Islam to the general public with respect and tolerance for other faiths. Work to improve morals in society by enjoining good and forbidding evil. Strengthen unity by promoting fraternal relations. Provide Islamic teachings to IMCA members and the general public. Provide religious and social services to all Muslims and the general public. FUNERAL PARKING GUIDE – Masjid AL-FAJR / IMCA

Assalamu’alaikum,

If you are attending the upcoming funeral at Masjid Al-Fajr (2846 Cold Spring Rd, Indianapolis), please note our new parking logistics to ensure safety and minimize road congestion.

(Please see the attached map for a clear visual guide.)

1. PRIORITY LOT (LOT A – Masjid Main Lot)
This lot is strictly reserved for:

Immediate Family Members

Elderly and Special Needs attendees

Families with young children

2. GENERAL / OVERFLOW PARKING (LOT B – Marian University Lot)
All other attendees are required to park in LOT B (the Marian University Lot), located just north of the masjid.

Driving Directions to Lot B: From the masjid driveway, turn right (North) onto Cold Spring Road. Drive past the adjacent church and turn left into the marked entrance for the Marian University Lot (Lot B).

A short, safe walk back to the masjid is available via the Cold Spring Road sidewalk.

⛔ NO STREET PARKING:
For traffic safety and respect for our neighbors, please DO NOT PARK ON COLD SPRING ROAD. Vehicles violating this may be towed.

Please follow the guidance of our parking volunteers and posted signage. May Allah bless you for your cooperation and consideration for others.

With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Waqar Habib.

May Allah forgive him, have mercy upon him, elevate his rank, and reunite him with his beloved wife, Khalida Habib, in Jannat al-Firdaus.

He leaves behind his children and their spouses: Dr. Moazzam and Shehla Habib, Ahsan and Farah Habib, and Zarmina and Jamal Jamal; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
