We're having a new kind of small gathering this month: a wilderness DIP! This experience of communion with water is open to all whether or not you literally want to dive in (wading and walking on dry ground are all options). Very excited for our triple water sign board member, Dinah DeWald, to lead this one. Also, you can mark your calendar to share some ritual dialogue space to integrate the theme of "dancing with the divine masculine" later this month. 🩵 Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0F4AABAF23A5FB6-64393086-june #/

We are pivoting! Update for our event this month:

Sadly, Kiyoshi will no longer be able to join us as a guest facilitator this month (we are working on rescheduling him for a Healing Feast later in the year--stay tuned!)

Happily, Ki5 Loops is stepping in with creative vision and musical support for The Healing Feast - Dancing with the Divine Masculine! We are so excited for Kyler to lead another transformative experience with us after he helped us dive into delicious resistance/liberation at the start of this year. His vocal looping and lyrical-musical improvisation is truly tapped into something divine.

Don't wait to get your tickets! Last time Ki5 was there we sold out in advance. šŸ˜‰

We are moving in boldness! Today, The Healing Feast is officially launching a bold fundraising initiative. Help us weave a stronger safety net for our community by joining our Healing Circles campaign.

Our goal is to raise $40,000. This will cover our operating costs and establish a true living wage for the artists, healers and facilitators who pour their hearts into this work—including our founder and director, Sari Brown.

The campaign is officially LIVE! Keep an eye on your inbox for our official launch email with all the details.

Head to the link in the comments to join one of our four Healing Circles. Each circle comes with special gifts, including free feast tickets and personalized healing sessions!

Let’s trust in radical abundance together.

What does ā€œhealthy masculinityā€ even mean? Is there anything life-giving about connecting with masculine energy as sacred or divine after it’s been a wrecking ball for millennia?

These are the questions we’ll dance with on the Summer Solstice. Feasting on a sun-ripened spread, Shawarma Skewers and Padre Strawberry Shortcake.

Freestyling about what healthy masculinity could mean. Feeling our feet beat in rhythm with the land. Touching the delicious diversity of our humanity in poetry, music, movement, and connection with nature.

This is an experience crafted by men who empower others to tap into their own magic: Forrest Hejkal, Ki5 Loops, and Jim Leach.

10% of proceeds go to The Neutral Zone in Ann Arbor to support their transformative, youth-driven community and all the ways this contributes to a healthier culture of masculinity.

Something special is brewing around this Solstice festival of transformation. You will come away different. A playful power in your step. A stronger set of arms to support you as you re-build your life. A new understanding of YOUR embodiment of the divine masculine, whatever gender identity claim.

Join us at the Hejkal Homestead on Sunday, June 21st, 5:00-8:00 PM (doors at 4:30). Sliding scale and free tickets available, RSVP @ link below to make sure you get a spot.

The Healing Feast of Resting in the Divine Feminine on Mother's Day was a celebration of our shared aliveness--our community's capacity to make life more joyful, sweet, and abundant as we support each other. It was an opportunity to encounter the Divine Feminine in her own ways, on her own timeline, with many things flowing out of our plans and control but also burgeoning with more abundance than expected. It was a day that held space for our grief, rage, stress and struggles around mothers, mothering, and our ability to fully rest in the lap of Life.

We had the most SUMPTUOUS potluck with mindful, delicious delicious, nurturing food. We had to pull out another table to make room for it all. Meaghan Rosalie led us to show up with presence to our own bodies, needs, and inner selfish b*7ch energy. Jess Kilbourn’s wise guidance and Alaura Massaro’s intuitive piano music led us into a sacred experience of community rest. We could feel the ripples and waves of healing that it sent out, beyond any one person’s ability to rest deeply in that moment. Sari Brown shared songs of resting, healing, honoring the Mother of All Life, and listening to the voice of the Goddess within. Sarah Jamesen offered divine feminine oracle readings for those that felt called to them.

The event was book ended by a glorious playful Ecstatic Dance led by Sarah Stein in the morning, and afterwards, a clean up party of joy and ease that included a very meaningful water blessing ritual and walk in the woods led by a 4-year-old.

šŸ«‚47 people participated in this Healing Feast which pretty much maxed out our capacity in the intimate, gorgeous space of Luna Center. We had 6 kids and 1 baby along for the ride!
šŸ’°$984.38 was raised directly from participants and donations. From 10% of ticket sales, donations, and my merch sales, we were able to give $107.04 to Helping Women Period.
šŸ’ž 15 co-facilitators and volunteers helped create this space: Jess Kilbourn, Meaghan Rosalie of The White Rose Goddess Temple, Alaura Massaro, Sarah Jamesen, John Love of Luna Center, Douglas Brown, Allie Williams, Scott Stearns, Daniel Lauterbur, Todd Johnson, Matt Johnson, David Williams, Bryn Williams, Josh O'Dell, and Sarah Stein of Sacred Solutions, LLC. Plus about about 16-20 people dishes to share for the potluck!

We are SO READY to celebrate rebellious rest, juicy pleasure, and wild aliveness this Sunday at Luna Center in Bath. Scroll down for some tips and sneak previews of what’s happening!

The Healing Feast - Resting in the Divine Feminine. It’s Mother’s Day but it’s not a typical celebration of mothers. We are celebrating most of all our own connection to the Divine Feminine that insists we reclaim our birthright to rest and pleasure, even as we acknowledge all the complexity, struggle, disappointment, and trauma that can surround mothers/mothering.

This is a space for all genders to be a part of the revolution—to radically reclaim our divine birthright to REST! We are in such good hands with the facilitation of , , , Jess Kilbourn, and Alaura Massaro.

A little more info about what to bring and what goodness we are preparing for you:

Sari Brown is a priestess of song, dance, and kitchen magic who curates dreams, facilitates rituals, and cultivates beauty in community. Sari is the founder and director of The Healing Feast, and is passionate about this homegrown organization and event series that embodies radical abundance, creative community, and nourishment to promote healing connections with self, others, the earth, and the sacred.

Sari will facilitate ritual space, song, and movement to support our rest experience at our Mother’s Day celebration on Sunday, May 10th, at the Luna Center Luna Center in Bath. It’s also her birthday on the day of our feast–and there’s no where she’d rather be than co-creating this sacred space with all of you who feel called to participate in The Healing Feast!

Join us this Sunday as we honor the Divine Feminine in its many forms. Other featured facilitators are Jess Kilbourn, Meaghan Bergman Goddess Goals, LLC and Alaura Massaro. Doors open at 12:00 PM with sing-along songs and other nourishing activities, potluck lunch begins at 12:30 (we encourage men, especially, to bring dishes to share–sign up in bio!), and the program will begin at 1:30. It’s a small, intimate space, so don’t wait to get your tickets!

It is such a a fulfilling experience to share our favorite healing, nourishing, or just plain yummy kitchen creations with your community. This Healing Feast on Sunday is giving everyone a chance to do that: we’re having a potluck! Sign up to bring a dish and show off your favorite recipes, or just buy us some of your favorite snacks! Link to sign up is in bio - we have slots for main dishes, side dishes, desserts OR drinks.

We especially encourage men/masc folks to sign up for this potluck so that we can give the women more time to rest. But ALL genders are welcome to sign up if you feel so called, and more importantly, ALL genders are welcome to come and feast with us whether or not you are able to bring an item to share at the potluck!

This won’t be just any potluck, because we know that the loving intention and diverse perspectives that The Healing Feast magnetizes will make this an intentional tapestry of food. Does that mean that anyone who wants to bring a dish should be a great cook or make something super healthy? Nooooo! Bring whatever is nourishing and delicious to YOU!

The Healing Feast is not about health/diet fads, restrictive eating, or telling people how they should eat. We embrace that ā€œhealthy foodā€ means different things for different people. Anything homemade from scratch is a plus. But we also know that nurturing food comes in all forms–even potato chips can be just what our body-mind-heart needs in some moments!

With that said, we do appreciate if you can take at least some (maybe not all) common dietary restrictions into account to make this meal as inclusive as possible: vegan/vegetarian, peanut/tree nut free, gluten free, egg free, dairy free, soy free. And it’s OK if you do bring stuff with those items, as long as you know what’s in them so you can make a label for them! (label-making supplies will be provided)

The Healing Feast this Sunday will be held on the sacred land of Luna Center. Their dreamy retreat center space provides a magical setting for our experience of Resting in the Divine Feminine together. Luna Center is a place for healing and spiritual growth full of potent symbols and symbiosis with the wild forest, meadow, and pond that surround it. In addition to the Healing Feast at 12:30, Luna Center & Ecstatic Dance Lansing Community are holding a Mother's Day dance at 11:00 AM with a $10-$20 sliding-scale recommended donation. We invite our Healing Feast community to attend this event before the Healing Feast begins at 12:30 pm.

John Love is the owner and cultivator of Luna Center, an interfaith minister, a historical fiction author, and the community’s beloved ā€œDance Church John.ā€ Every second and fourth Sunday of the month, Luna holds ecstatic dances in partnership with the Ecstatic Dance Lansing Community.

Sarah Stein of Sacred Solutions, LLC will be leading the Ecstatic Dance at 11:00 am this Sunday. This dance is intended for all genders and bodies. Like The Healing Feast, it also makes space for all kinds of relationships with mothering/motherhood, including the ones marked by difficulty, disappointment, or disconnect. Sarah is a multidimensional womban who loves to use music to connect to Mama Life and her body & to help integrate whole-being medicine into her life and into others. As a massage therapist, life & health coach, space holder, ceremonialist, healer, ecstatic dance facilitator, DJ, singer, dancer, and proud mama, she’s learning to slow down and be very intentional with her energy and how she loves herself & others. She believes that love, joy, gratitude, community & connection can truly change the world and reprogram old ways of being that no longer serve individuals and the collective!

Join us this Sunday as we rest, move, sing, commune, and feast with divine feminine energy. Jess Kilbourn, Meaghan Rosalie of Goddess Goals, LLC, Sari Brown Music, and Alaura Massaro will join forces to create this experience at Luna Center.
