The Healing Feast of Resting in the Divine Feminine on Mother's Day was a celebration of our shared aliveness--our community's capacity to make life more joyful, sweet, and abundant as we support each other. It was an opportunity to encounter the Divine Feminine in her own ways, on her own timeline, with many things flowing out of our plans and control but also burgeoning with more abundance than expected. It was a day that held space for our grief, rage, stress and struggles around mothers, mothering, and our ability to fully rest in the lap of Life.
We had the most SUMPTUOUS potluck with mindful, delicious delicious, nurturing food. We had to pull out another table to make room for it all. Meaghan Rosalie led us to show up with presence to our own bodies, needs, and inner selfish b*7ch energy. Jess Kilbournās wise guidance and Alaura Massaroās intuitive piano music led us into a sacred experience of community rest. We could feel the ripples and waves of healing that it sent out, beyond any one personās ability to rest deeply in that moment. Sari Brown shared songs of resting, healing, honoring the Mother of All Life, and listening to the voice of the Goddess within. Sarah Jamesen offered divine feminine oracle readings for those that felt called to them.
The event was book ended by a glorious playful Ecstatic Dance led by Sarah Stein in the morning, and afterwards, a clean up party of joy and ease that included a very meaningful water blessing ritual and walk in the woods led by a 4-year-old.
š«47 people participated in this Healing Feast which pretty much maxed out our capacity in the intimate, gorgeous space of Luna Center. We had 6 kids and 1 baby along for the ride!
š°$984.38 was raised directly from participants and donations. From 10% of ticket sales, donations, and my merch sales, we were able to give $107.04 to Helping Women Period.
