The Michigan FCCLA held the awards this afternoon! Our members received: Lucy: Gold; Alyssa and Sophia: Gold; Andy: Silver; and Mary: Silver! Congratulations to all of our competitors! 🎉

We are incredibly proud of Lucy Snow for taking home the First Place Award for Teaching Strategies competition. She is Michigan's first national champion! Congratulations Lucy!!

What a wonderful day! We had 2 members compete this morning. We shopped in the store, visited the expo, and attended workshops. This evening, we took the Metro to The Spy Museum! We were given a new identity and took part in an operation in the museum while learning about tools and processes used by the CIA and Navy Seals. Tomorrow we have 2 more groups competing!

Today we ConneCTEd with NLC in Washington DC! Our opening session and state meeting were a great way to prepare for the week ahead. Tomorrow we have 2 teams competing! We will enjoy the Expo, RED talks, and workshops!

FCCLA 2026 NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE: Hey there, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Members, Advisers, Parents & Guests - We’re gearing up for the FCCLA 2026 National Leadership Conference which kicks off on Monday, but some activities are happening Sunday, along with travel to Washington, D.C., and Sunday gives me concern about travel delays.

Severe thunderstorms may cause travel delays into the Washington, D.C. airports, so be prepared just in case. Mid 90s on Sunday, drop into the 80s, but comes with more chances for some thunderstorms for Monday and Tuesday! So, don’t forget the rain gear with your red blazers!!
