LESA's Adult ESL Program is now registering students for the 2026–27 school year. The program is for adults who would like to strengthen their English language skills.

Adult ESL Classes

Classes begin Wednesday, September 9
Mondays and Wednesdays
Coffee and conversation starting at 5:30 p.m.
Classes from 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Livingston Educational Service Agency
1425 W. Grand River Ave., Howell

Participants need to register and complete placement testing before beginning classes.
Registration and testing take approximately three hours, and participants should bring a photo ID.

A little behind-the-scenes planning for Trivia for Literacy! 📚🧠

The LCLC Board met at 3 Greens Restaurant (at Faulkwood Golf Club) and we got a chance to see the space where we'll gather for our 2nd Annual Trivia for Literacy fundraiser on October 10!

We're excited to bring our community together for a fun evening while raising funds to support free adult literacy programs right here in Livingston County. LCLC provides personalized tutoring and other literacy programs with the help of our incredible volunteer tutors.

Join us for our tutor meet up to learn about our materials library!

This gives our tutors an opportunity to share ideas, connect with fellow volunteers, and ask questions of their fellow tutors.

Our meet ups are always open and all are welcome!

Our new ESL Conversation Group started this week! This will be an ongoing weekly opportunity for learners to practice their English speaking and listening skills in a relaxed, supportive group setting.

The Details:
When: Wednesdays from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Dates: Ongoing weekly—upcoming dates include May 20, May 27, June 3, June 10, June 17, and June 24.
Where: Livingston ESA, 1425 W. Grand River, Howell (Please use Door #17)
Cost: Completely free. No prior registration is required—they can just show up!
