Hey Howell, it’s that time of year again when we enjoy fall activities like hayrides, apple picking, and watching football (complete with political ads for far-away states). The latter serves as a helpful reminder that we have a local election coming up in a few short weeks. There are several races where you can choose candidates to advocate for our community. Take a look at our sample ballot to see your options at the voting booth this November.
Beyond watching ads or visiting candidate websites, there are upcoming opportunities to MEET candidates in person and ASK questions. The local political party pages have information about the candidates and are a great starting point to learn more:
Howell Democrats will be hosting an event tomorrow, October 10th, in Howell to meet U.S. House of Representatives candidate Rachel Peace. She is challenging longtime Republican incumbent Chris Smith. See the local party page for more details on how to attend:

Howell Republicans are also sharing information about their candidates, which can be found here:

If you would like to meet the candidates for Howell Council, there will be a free-admission event on Sunday, October 25th, at Magnolia Farms. See the post here for details:

Whether it's pumpkins, apples, or local candidates—happy picking this season!
