Have you ever been out and about in Livingston County and thought, "Wow, this would be a GREAT place for [fill in the blank]...."?

Our Bethel Homes project was announced last month, with four single family homes making up this flagship endeavor...but we're not stopping there!

The Community Catalysts' team is on the look-out for more future Bethel Homes locations, and we need YOUR help.

If you know of, or come across, a plot of land that seems like it would be a good fit for future builds, let us know. We'd love to learn more (and even come walk the land!).

Bethel Homes Powered by Lake Trust Credit Union is seeking homeowner applicants!

Our first four homes will be built on Burkhart Road in Howell Township. Construction of our first four homes is slated to start in October 2026, with homes ready for occupancy in mid 2027.

At a price point of $250,000, these homes will be reserved for individuals and families who currently live or work in Livingston County and earn less than 60% of the Area Median Income.

Our newest attainable housing project, Bethel Homes Powered by Lake Trust Credit Union is FINALLY HERE!

This first-of-its-kind development aims to bring starter homes back to Livingston County by offering four flagship single family homes at a discounted rate.

Income qualified buyers can apply to own a Bethel Home starting September 30th.

We're so excited to share that the NEW Community Catalysts website is LIVE!!!

This project has been a great labor of love, and we're grateful to our friends over at Leveret Drive for the incredible job they did capturing our story and bringing this project to completion. 💻 🎉

The new website includes enhanced features, an easier way to donate and volunteer, information about Bethel Suites, Housing Catalysts, and details on our latest project, Bethel Homes Powered by Lake Trust Credit Union.

Thank you to everyone who was involved, and thank you to our community for supporting our mission. Housing is the vehicle we've chosen to love and serve people, and we can't wait to see how this new website expands our reach and impact!

✨ OUR BIGGEST ANNOUNCEMENT EVER! ✨

Introducing Bethel Homes Powered by Lake Trust Credit Union — our latest attainable housing initiative, and Livingston County's first Community Land Trust!

🔸 At a price point of $250,000, these homes will be reserved for individuals and families who currently live or work in Livingston County and earn less than 60% of the Area Median Income.

🔸 As a local nonprofit, we are committed to helping lower-income people in our county move into quality housing that they can afford. Through many partnerships, including with our builder, Norfolk Homes, and partnerships with foundations and philanthropic funders, we are able to sell these homes for about $100,000 less than it costs to build them!

🔸 The application portal will be open September 30, 2026. Applications will be accepted at www.community-catalysts.org/bethel-homes .

🔸 Bethel Homes will consider applicants on a first-come, first served basis. With only four homes available in this inaugural development, timing matters! We strongly encourage potential homeowners to apply as soon as possible.

This might be a topic you've never considered....but we want to introduce you to something called planned giving.

It could be one of the most meaningful things you EVER do. ⤵

Planned giving is when someone arranges, as part of their estate planning, to leave a gift to a charitable organization after they pass.

This might be a sum of money, a piece of property, or other assets, included in a will or trust. It doesn't affect your finances today, but it creates an impact that lasts long after you're gone. 🏡 ⚡️

For nonprofits like Community Catalysts, planned gifts are transformational. A single planned gift can fund YEARS of work that changes lives.
