WE DID IT!!! 🎨❤️

Because of this incredible community, we officially reached our fundraising goal for Phase I of the ART Doing Good mural project!

The Rotary Club of Howell is so grateful to everyone who donated, shared posts, encouraged others, and helped spread the word. This truly has been a community effort, and we are honored to help bring this vision to life alongside so many amazing community partners and supporters.

This mural will celebrate the people, stories, memories, and organizations that make Howell so special while helping connect our community to local nonprofits, events, and opportunities to get involved.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible, including Explore Brighton Howell Area, MI, the The City of Howell, Bank of Ann Arbor-Livingston, Mugg & Bopps, Livingston County United Way, and the many community members who rallied behind this project.

We are excited to see this mural by Susan Pominville, inspired by the voices of our community, on the Thai Cafe building!

While we’ve reached our Phase I goal, additional donations will continue to support the next phase of the project as we work to expand the impact of ART Doing Good throughout our community.

We are at 95% of our goal… and it’s because of this incredible community!!! 👏👏👏

We are so grateful to everyone who has donated, shared posts, encouraged others, and helped spread the word about the ART Doing Good mural project. Because of this collective effort, Phase I is now 95% funded.

Now through Memorial Day, every dollar donated will still be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000, by the Howell Rotary Club to help us reach our goal of $50,000.

This mural will be more than public art. It will celebrate the people, stories, memories, and organizations that make Howell such a special place while helping connect the community to local nonprofits, events, and opportunities to get involved.

The Rotary Club of Howell is honored to help bring the Howell Doing Good / ART Doing Good Mural Project to life in Downtown Howell.

What started as an idea to create something beautiful has grown into something much bigger. This project is about community, connection, and celebrating the stories that make Howell special. Through art, these murals will help bring people together, inspire conversation, and shine a light on the organizations and causes doing good right here in our community.

Howell Rotary proudly made a lead gift of $25,000 to help launch this vision. Now we’re asking the community to help us take the next step.

💥 Until May 25th, Howell Rotary will match every donation dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000.

📣 Exciting things are happening in Downtown Howell! 📣

ART Doing Good and the launch of the first community-inspired public art installation on the Thai Café wall is underway.

Howell Rotary proudly made a lead gift of $25,000 to help launch the Art Doing Good vision, but this project has truly been a community effort from the very beginning. Over the past year, local businesses, organizations, and community members have helped raise funds and build momentum toward our shared goal of $50,000 for Phase 1.

Now, we’re in the final stretch and need your help to get across the finish line.

During the last week in April, our club had the opportunity to learn about Malachi’s House of Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families whose children are born with Heterotaxy Syndrome, a rare congenital condition that affects approximately 1 in 1,000 babies worldwide.

We are grateful to learn more about the important work they are doing to provide hope, support, and resources to families navigating incredibly difficult circumstances. Thank you to Malachi’s House of Hope for sharing your mission with us and for the difference you are making in the lives of so many families. 💙

Yesterday our Rotary Club rolled up our sleeves and packed goodie bags for Bus Driver Appreciation day in April. It’s a small gesture, but one we hope brings a smile to the drivers who do so much for our community every single day.

Sometimes the best meetings are the ones where you leave knowing you made someone else’s day a little better.

We are having a great day at the Rotary 6380 District Conference! 🎉
