🍈 One Final Melon Ice Cream Thank You! 🍦

As we wrap up another successful year of Howell Rotary’s Melon Ice Cream fundraiser, we want to give a huge THANK YOU to Howell Recreation and Frontal Lobe Coworking!

Each year, Howell Recreation allows us to sell our famous Melon Ice Cream on the beautiful historic courthouse lawn during the Howell Melon Festival. Their team puts together an incredible festival for our community and provides us with the opportunity to make this important fundraiser happen. We truly couldn’t do it without their support!

A big thank you also goes to Frontal Lobe, who graciously allows us to utilize their space throughout festival weekend to store our supplies and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Having a convenient home base right downtown is an instrumental part of making our fundraiser successful.

It truly takes a community to make Melon Ice Cream happen each year, and we are so grateful to Howell Recreation and Frontal Lobe for being part of ours. 💙🍈

Please join us in welcoming Amy Johnston, the newest member of the Rotary Club of Howell!

About Amy
As Senior Director of Housing with Community Catalysts, Amy is passionate about strengthening our community and improving the quality of life for those who call Livingston County home.
A Livingston County native, Amy and her husband, Jim, have called Brighton home for the past 17 years, where they’ve raised their children, Jesse and Annalise. For Amy, serving the community is something the whole family values, making Rotary a natural extension of that commitment.

A few fun facts:
💚 Amy is a proud Fowlerville High School graduate — a Livingston County gal through and through!
❤️ Community service is a family affair for Amy and her family, who enjoy finding ways to give back together.
🏓⛳ She’s been learning to play pickleball and golf — adding a couple of new adventures to the mix!
Whether through her work, alongside her family, or now as a Rotarian, Amy brings a genuine desire to help make Livingston County an even better place to live, work, and call home.
We’re thrilled to welcome Amy to our growing group of Rotarians, all working together to do more good in our community and beyond.

Howell Melon Festival weekend just wouldn’t be the same without our friends at Jonna’s Market!

Each year, Jonna’s graciously helps us bring Howell Melon Ice Cream to even more of our community by selling our family-size containers at their locations during festival weekend.

We are so grateful for their continued partnership and for the amazing Jonna’s staff who help make everything run smoothly each year. Their support of Howell Rotary and this special community tradition means so much to us!

A HUGE thank you to the Howell Public School District! 🍈🍦💙💛

There is so much that happens behind the scenes to make Howell Melon Ice Cream possible each year, and Howell Public Schools plays a big part in making it all happen!

Each year, the district generously provides space for us to store our ice cream and allows us to use their kitchen facilities for our big ice cream scooping day in partnership with the Livingston County United Way Day of Caring. They even provide staff who help us throughout the process!

From providing the space we need to lending a helping hand, their support is invaluable. Without the time, generosity, and partnership of Howell Public Schools, this fundraiser simply wouldn’t be possible.

Guernsey Farms Dairy, you ROCK! 🍈🍦💙

Each year, Guernsey Farms plays an integral part in the behind-the-scenes magic of Howell Melon Ice Cream for the Howell Melon Festival. For many years, Guernsey Farms has helped us handcraft this once-a-year treat that has become such a special tradition in our community.

From packaging our 48 oz family-size containers to preparing the 5-gallon tubs that Rotarians and community volunteers hand-scoop into thousands of individual cups for the Howell Melon Festival, we truly could not do this without you!

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Guernsey Farms and for the amazing staff who help make this fundraiser possible year after year. Your support plays a huge role in bringing this Howell tradition to life. 💙💛

This past Monday was a fantastic meeting! 💙💛

The Happy Bucks were flowing as our members shared plenty of positivity and joy after a successful Howell Melon Festival weekend! 🍈

We’re still feeling incredibly grateful for our volunteers, community, and everyone who helped make the weekend such a success.

We also heard from Bill Park for another Membership Monday snippet.

A special congratulations to Bob Ellis, who received a Paul Harris Fellow pin in recognition of his continued generous financial support of Rotary and The Rotary Foundation. 👏💙💛

💙💛 Still feeling grateful after an incredible Howell Melon Festival weekend!

A few days later, and we’re still blown away by the support our community showed the Howell Rotary Club and Howell Melon Ice Cream this year.

To everyone who stopped by for a cup (or two!), purchased a family-size container, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on, thank you! Your support made this year’s fundraiser an incredible success.

An especially big thank you to our Rotarians, community volunteers, local businesses, and partners who gave their time and energy to make it all happen. From preparing thousands of cups before the festival to selling the very last container, this fundraiser truly takes a community.

Most importantly, the money raised goes right back into the work of Howell Rotary, supporting student scholarships, youth exchange, local organizations, community projects, and other opportunities to serve our neighbors throughout the year.

We’re sharing some of our favorite moments because there were simply too many good ones not to! 📸

Thank you, Howell, for continuing to support this tradition and the work of Howell Rotary. We’re already looking forward to next year! 🍈

Both our individual cups AND 48 oz Family Size containers officially sold out, including at both Jonna's Market locations!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible community for showing up and supporting the Howell Rotary Club during the Howell Melon Festival. Every purchase helps us continue supporting scholarships, youth programs, community projects, and so much more right here in our community.
