Greater Houston Partnership The Partnership works to make Houston the best place to live, work and build your business. However, the overarching theme remains the same.

Throughout the years, Houston has been known by several names — The Energy Capital of the World, Space City, and most recently, The City With No Limits. Houston is a great city, an opportunity city. No matter what you consider — our economy, culture, or quality of life — this city is the definition of great, and the Greater Houston Partnership works to make it even greater. The Partnership is a meeting place for community-minded business people who want to be involved in Houston’s positive growth and influence the direction in which Houston is going. Through the dedicated efforts of our members, the Partnership addresses Houston’s unique challenges and champions the growth and success of businesses throughout the region. Houston continues to reach even greater heights, and making this city a better place to live, work and build a business is what the Partnership is all about. Because in today’s ever-changing economic landscape, it’s not enough to merely be good, you have to be great. The Greater Houston Partnership and regional partners recently received a Community Economic Development Award from the Texas Economic Development Council for securing Eli Lilly and Company's pharmaceutical project.

The project is expected to create more than 600 permanent jobs, 4,000 construction jobs and invest in local workforce training.
