Today, September 30, we honor the life and memory of Spc. Vanessa Guillén on Vanessa Guillén Day.

Vanessa’s legacy continues to inspire historic reform and important conversations around military justice, safety, and accountability for all service members. It serves as a vital reminder that every veteran and military member deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported, both while serving and after.

Today and every day, we stand with military families, advocates, and survivors in breaking the silence and fostering a stronger, safer community.

🎗️ If you or a fellow service member need support, resources are available:
- Military Crisis Line: Dial 988, then press 1

Today, September 25, we celebrate the first Dolly Parton Day, with 9/25 serving as a fitting tribute to one of Dolly’s most iconic songs, “9 to 5.”

Following Dolly’s passing last month, today carries an even deeper meaning as we celebrate the music, creativity, kindness, and generosity she shared with the world for generations.

From the stage to her incredible philanthropic work, Dolly left a legacy that reaches far beyond entertainment. Her songs will keep playing, her stories will keep inspiring, and her impact will continue to live on.

Today, we’re turning up the music, celebrating her legacy, and raising a little “cup of ambition” to Dolly. 💗

Happy Dolly Parton Day!

What an incredible time at our Introduction to Blacksmithing workshop! ⚒️

Our participants got their hands dirty, worked with fire and steel, and put in some serious work at the anvil to forge their very own custom steak flippers. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of creating something functional from scratch!

A huge thank you to Charles Walker and Dueling Hammers School Of Blacksmithing in Cleveland, TX for hosting us, sharing his expertise, and guiding everyone through the craft.

We also want to extend a massive thank you to Sam Houston Electric Cooperative for sponsoring this event and supporting our local veterans and military families. Opportunities like this wouldn't be possible without your generous investment in our community!

Stay tuned to our page for future workshops and upcoming events—we can't wait to see you at the next one!

Community, creativity, and a lot of sunshine! ☀️

This past weekend, our team was on the ground volunteering with fantastic community members at the AIA Galveston Sandcastle Competition.

Despite the intense heat and sun, the energy on the beach was high as teams transformed ordinary sand into mind-blowing structural art. We’re so grateful to everyone who spent their weekend volunteering alongside us to represent our organization and support our local community.

Thank you to the event organizers and all the volunteers who showed up, worked hard, and made it an unforgettable day on the coast!
