In 2018, an HTWF Education Grant helped Barbara Starke bring Healing Touch to a domestic violence shelter in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

When her original plans and venue fell through, Barbara didn't give up. With support from the Lakeland Foundation and the Ronora Lodge & Retreat Center, she created a Level 1 Healing Touch training and retreat for ten Safe Shelter staff members.

The experience gave these dedicated caregivers time to step away from the stress of their work, reconnect with themselves, and discover that the capacity to heal exists within each of us.

💙 Thank You, Nancy!

This month, we'd like to recognize and thank our outgoing Chair, Nancy Lavergne, for her many years of dedicated service to the Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation.

Since becoming a volunteer in 2012, Nancy has served in many roles, including Board Member, Foundation President, and Marketing Lead. Her creativity, leadership, and commitment have helped shape the Foundation and expand the reach of Healing Touch in countless ways.

From designing graphics and creating meaningful content to organizing events and supporting our mission with unwavering enthusiasm, Nancy has made a lasting impact on our organization and the communities we serve.

We'd also like to extend our sincere thanks to Guy Lavergne for his behind-the-scenes support over the years, including his service as a Foundation Board Member and Treasurer.
