🦪 CCA Texas Oyster Project Conservation Update 🦪

As we start to close the book on 2025, we have one last update for this year, which includes adding our $1,000,000 commitment to the Oyster License Buyback Program as well as two NEW projects to the list, both Certificate of Location (CoL) programs:

🦪 Oyster License Buyback Program
🦪 East Matagorda CoL (Eidelbach Flats Reef)
🦪 Mesquite Bay CoL (Ranch House Reef)

Conservation efforts like these don't happen without committed partners who work tirelessly to improve our Texas Coast:

🦪 Harte Research Institute (Mesquite Bay Oyster Reef Monitoring)
🦪 Galveston Bay Foundation (Oyster Recycling Trailers)
🦪 Sink Your Shucks Oyster Recycling Program (Oyster Recycling Program), and more!

The oyster is so much more than just a fishery; it is a crucial foundational component of our bays' ecosystem, and healthy oyster reefs mean a strong and sustainable coastline now and in the future.
