We joined forces with the Honey Cadettes to deliver a load of essential school supplies to The Purple Door! We couldn't be prouder of these young leaders for taking action to support local kids just like themselves as the new school year kicks off!

The Purple Door serves our region by offering free and confidential support to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. From emergency shelter and 24/7 crisis support to counseling and community advocacy, they provide vital resources to help survivors heal in a safe environment.

A Message to Our Beeville Community

For Immediate Release
To our scouts, families, and community partners:
Effective immediately, our local youth troop will be indefinitely separating from the national Girl Scouts organization.

This decision was made after careful consideration of how to best serve our youth. Our goal is to pivot our focus entirely back to where it belongs: on the scouts themselves. Over time, we have found that too much organizational energy has been directed toward maintaining a massive corporate name and reputation, rather than serving the day-to-day needs of our local members.

Moving forward, we are stripping away the institutional bureaucracy to reinvest 100% of our effort, time, and energy back into core scout morals. We are returning to the roots of what scouting was originally created for—building character, developing practical life skills, fostering leadership, and serving our community.

Introducing: The Honey Cadets
We are incredibly excited to announce that we are officially launching an independent, community-focused scout organization specific to Beeville, named The Honey Cadets.

While our name and affiliation are changing, our mission is only growing. As The Honey Cadets, we will continue to function fully as a traditional scout troop. Our youth will still participate in all the classic activities they love—including outdoor adventures, community service projects, badge work, and team-building—plus an expanded curriculum tailored specifically to the needs and interests of our Beeville families.

How It Works Moving Forward
The Honey Cadets will operate as a local, membership-based organization. This shift allows us to keep all resources, funding, and decision-making right here in our neighborhood, ensuring that every dollar and every hour volunteered directly benefits our local youth.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our Beeville community as we take this bold step forward. We are confident that by refocusing on true scouting values, we are building a stronger, more impactful foundation for our children.

The Scouts attended World Thinking Day in Victoria, Texas. Their country was Egypt. They had to research Egyptian’s food, clothing, way of life and culture to display it in a way that was intriguing to other scouts who circled our table asking questions.

Every scout put in work, and all the scout families came together to help make it all happen! 👏
