OFE Board Member Sheila walked in this year’s 2026 Fiestas Patrias Houston Parade alongside the Houston LBGTQ Chamber.

The Fiestas Patrias Parade is a powerful reminder of what makes Houston truly special — a city where cultures come together, legacies are honored, and the future is built together. Showing up with the Houston community and being visible in honor of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was a special and important moment this Hispanic Heritage Month.

We are so happy that we got to connect with donors, recipients, and volunteers at Friday's Axelrad meet-up! It was a fun, invigorating night with great conversations and laughs. Our OFE community is extremely supportive and we appreciate everyone who ensures we can continue our mission of empowering LGBTQ+ students.

We look forward to seeing you October 18th for our Houston Homecoming Drag Fundraiser at Play!
