Strong job and industry growth are essential to increasing economic opportunity and security for all Houstonians.

Over the last decade, Houston's three-county region has experienced significant job growth, outpacing the nation overall. Between 2010 and 2024, job growth in Fort Bend County (95%), Montgomery County (81%), and Harris County (22%) exceeded the national rate (21%).

As our region continues to grow, understanding who is benefiting from that growth and where barriers remain is key to expanding opportunity for everyone.
